Ready to Burst

"June is bustin' out all over."
- Oscar Hammerstein II, 1945

"Tell you what I like the best --
'Long about knee-deep in June,
'Bout the time strawberries melts
On the vine, -- some afternoon
Like to jes' git out and rest,
And not work at nothin' else!"
- James Witcomb Riley, Knee Deep in June

"It is the month of June,
The month of leaves and roses,
When pleasant sights salute the eyes
And pleasant scents the noses."
- Nathaniel Parker Willis, The Month of June

What do you like best about the month of June?

The rose was shot in a "white box" as described in a post by my friend Sandra. Click HERE to see her post.

Gorgeous blooms! Love the shot of the rose in the white box. My favorite part of June is the start of summer and the promise of many warm, sun filled days. And of course watching things grow in the garden! :-)

I haven't seen such beautiful flowers.

Be still my heart. you have taken all the beauty of summer and compressed it into your post today! I think this is a Peppermint Splash rose? But what are these purple flowers??

It may be the month of June, but here, the flowers haven't had the chance to come out at all. It's been cold and wet - drowning the roses when they peep out. When it's not wet, it's windy - blowing the few petals off their stems. The weather is really not June here.

Your pictures show so much sunshine and beautiful flowers. Oh, to have a week of that...

Your header is gorgeous! All these flowers are so pretty! I just love seeing all the different flowers! I like June because my son's birthday is at the end of the month and I always look back and remember carrying him for nine months and holding him in my arms for the first time. :)

I think the thing I like the most about June is that it's a combination of spring and summer, my two favorite seasons.
