"All this she told to Truman. She couldn't speak freely to most of her intimates, and to journalists, Bill had told her to confine her remarks to dressing and entertaining, but to Capote, who poured out his own heart to her like a barrel of quicksand, Babe was real and candid."

"'Bobolink,' Truman whispered -- it was his pet name for her--'Bill bought you. It's as if he went down to Central Casting. You're the perfect type for him. Look upon being Mrs. William S. Paley as a job, the best job in the world. Accept it and be happy with it.'"

Watch for my review on September 20th.

She was a very special person, and she will always be Holly Golightly to me.

Breakfast @ Tiffany's was one of my favortie movies. Audrey Hepburn was so classy....and George Peppard wasn't bad either. LOL

I just have to join in Friday 56 here.
My copy of "The Cat who went to Paris" arrived this week. I can tell you I will read and reread this one.
Page 56:
I decided to follow Norton. He was having the absolute time of his life. Frolicking chasing birds and squirrels...not caring, just chassing, crawling through the grass on his belly, chomping on flowers and generally enjoying his new role of jungle beast on the prowl". What a great visual statement.
Hugs and thanks for the book recommendation,
C

Interesting, so that really is Audrey Hepburn on the cover? Well, I'll tell you a secret, I never understood what all the big deal was about this movie, neither did my mom. What am I missing? Is there major symbolism?

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog!

Very interesting Friday 56. Incidentally, I have bought Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote a few weeks ago. The book is very different from the movie, I have heard.
