"Montag .....?

"It doesn't like me," said Montag.

"What, the Hound?" The Captain studied his cards.

"Come off it. It doesn't like or dislike. It just 'functions.'
It's like a lesson in ballistics. It has a trajectory we decide on for it. It follows through. It targets itself, homes itself, and cuts off. It's only copper wire, storage batteries, and electricity."

Banned Book Week September 24-October 1, 2011

Fahrenheit 451, the book about censorship, has been challenged and banned repeatedly since it was published over fifty years ago.

Oh Mom will probably have to check this out...she likes to step outside the box.
I, however, judge books by their cover and I like the looks of
"Little Goblins Ten"!! Can't wait for that reveiw.

From MOM:I counted about 22 pictures before I got the one of Madi growling. I was on the porch Madi was inside looking out. She wanted her to come in to feed her.
Hugs and Happy weekend
Daughter and SIL will be here this weekend.

I read this one long ago, and re-read it a few years back. It was really a good book, I think I should read it again! Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, sad. Not surprised Fahrenheit 51 is on the Banned Book List.

I've been so busy with mosaics, I can barely get thru a book right now.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks for participating!

I have read Bradbury, but not this book. Surely it has not been banned in modern times?

Ginny said...

Matter of fact, have ANY books been banned in modern times? Freedom of the press and speech and all that...
