The theme for this week's PicStory is Wood. The photo above was taken several years ago on a trip to the southern Oregon coast. We were a little off the beaten path and discovered this rather large piece of driftwood. That's my stepdaughter climbing over the piece.
OH MY GOODNESS: 1. What a precious picture of your stepdaughter. I love her hair...is it still red? 2. I love your new header what a great shot. 3. That is the largest piece of driftwood I've ever seen Hugs Madi and Mom
Having your stepdaughter in the photo really shows the size of that driftwood! Wow! That's a beauty! And of course, your step daughter is a cutie, too!
That gives such a wonderful texture to the picture! That is HUGE! BTW, I am not sure what that bug is on your header, but it is kinda giving me the creeps! Ack!

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

Beautiful reflection in the water too.
It looks like an elephant with 2 babies. It's striking and amazing. A very good perspective and a great shot too.

that looks to be a tree, drifting perhaps for centuries (?) along the waters of Washington state. What a cool capture!

Wow, that is huge. I would love to have it but have no idea what I would do with it.
Quite a photo, and the tree is odd for having survived all that water. Wonder how long it has been there?
