Sunny Blooms

"He who is born with a silver spoon in his mouth is generally considered a fortunate person, but his good fortune is small compared to that of the happy mortal who enters this world with a passion for flowers in his soul."
Celia Thaxter

Our little town has a community garden where folks can grow veggies and flowers in their own little plot of land. Near the edge of the fence I found this group of yellow flowers.

I love these yellow flowers in the sunshine. They're splendiferous like gold.

yellow is such a happy color especially on flowers and with added sunshine like these, cheerful is the word I feel. my silk flowers on the kitchen table have two big yellow flowers similar to these in with the burgundy colors and when the sun comes in the window and hits them i never fail to stop and stare.

What a vibrant shiny yellow!
These are lovely! They make me smile on this overcast rainy day we're having. Not that I'm disliking the rain - we really need it.

Beautiful photos! Sorry I did not post this week and announced it late. With my brother's funeral and all, I wasn't up to it. I hope you understand, and thank you for posting and participating.

The yellow flowers are lovely and I so much like the idea of a community garden. I would like to live in such a place.
Judy, I'm sorry for not coming earlier but I feel so sick.
I have a swelling on my face near one of my ears and I can't stand the air movement, not even near my laptop.

Beautiful shots, as always!

Gorgeous yellows. Celia Thaxter was born in the city where I now live; all of the folks in the state hold her dear. Her works are wonderful.

Great splashes of sunshine near the edge of the fence. Brilliant blooms.

Thanks for visiting my Today's Flowers post. You asked if those Silk Cotton Tree blooms had a scent. No, they don't. They just make a fabulous display on the leafless trees.
