In The Sea
There Are Crocodiles

Page 56
"I heard these voices in the air, as if broadcast through a loudspeaker like a muezzin's prayer. I sensed them in the flight of birds, and I believed them, because I was small, and when you're small what do you know of the world? Listening and believing were the same thing. I believed everything people told me."

Note:
In The Sea There Are Crocodiles is based on the true story of Enaiatollah Akbari's harrowing journey from Afghanistan to Italy. The journey begins when Enaiatollah is only ten years old.

This looks worth reading. It's so sad that children are so often the victims of war. Their security is so easily shattered.
Thank you so much for signing the petition for the feral cats of Ireland. I guessed you would be someone who would respond as I know you volunteer in your home area and see the benefits.

Sounds like a great book. Children are in an odd predicament. They can only believe what they're told. Haven't gained enough life experiences yet. That's kind of spooky for children.

Friday 56 is one of our favorite memes.
Mom found this on page 56 of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Loving our Cats. She says it describes me to purrfection:
"Our marvelous cat seemed to have an uncanny knack for always being in the right place at the right time."

I can't imagine what it would be like to live this person's life. A book like this must be a good look at it.

Sounds like a very interesting read! And it's true...when you're small you do tend to believe what you hear.
