It Thursday and time for Pat's Things in a Row. Visit Pat and join in the fun. And while you are out and about drop in and visit Freda's ThisWay/Thursday.
Thursday also means it's time for Thursday Two Questions.
My questions for you today relate to grocery shopping. What I want to talk about is those people who bag our groceries. I can remember when they would take some care in the way they placed groceries in a bag. These days it seems they have no training what so ever and it's likely that my eggs or bread will wind up under a bunch of canned foods.
1) How do you feel about the way your groceries are bagged?
2) Besides the high prices what is your biggest complaint about grocery stores or markets?
Bonus question: Paper or plastic? Or neither?

love the top shot in sepia.
I really like the bottom one.
Thanks for participating.
I bag my own groceries... so I like the way it's handled.
I must bag my own groceries! We go to a big grocery store here that lets you scan with a handheld scanner and bag as you shop. So when we get to the checkout, we just pay the total, everything is done. Always paper, in plastic things dump over and won't stand up! Guess my biggest complaint is that they leave expired things on the shelves, I have seen this in all stores, and some things have been expired for months!
1) I have to ask the people who bagged my groceries a few times to keep my bread on top, and frozen items separately. They really don't care how the groceries are bagged.
2) Spoiled seafood, I had to take it back when open the bag and there was a really foul smell came out. I wish there were more inspectors in the store to keep things straight.
It has to be paper bags for me.
I think agriculture always has wonderful things show...these are great.
I use my own bag, which I carry in my purse. And I bag my own groceries in it. Sometimes they will do it for me, but I usually rearrange them myself.
I'll miss your pretty bee in the header when he goes away. He's so industrious!
i shop 100 percent Walmart so there are not baggers, the cashier does it on that round thing and they always do a good job other than some of them put too few things in one bag.
my biggest complaint is moving the merchandise every week, i go to the place to get it and end up hunting for it. makes me crazy. i use plastic, since WM does not offer paper, and i do recycle all of them. i tried the bringing my own canvas bags, wm sells them but it slows down the bagging so much i stopped, beside i kept forgetting to bring the bags with me.
oops Im back, forgot to say I love the sepia shot, beautiful and I like the composition of the second view through and under
Love, love, LOVE the top shot! Thanks for participating in Thursday's Things in a Row!
Even though I've purchased cheap bags to reuse in the stores, I always forget them. So I ask for plastic because we recycle them as garbage bags.
these are amazing shots...that first one is awesome and the way the house is framed in the second, brilliant.
:)
most time the stores I shop at they have a little sense. but, i usually kind of have it sorted out to start with
my biggest peeve is when i take my time and shop frugally only to later realize that something scanned higher than the price on the shelf or to have them miscount and scan more - for instance I had 12 cans of cat food and got charged for 13
doesn't matter to me, I would like to be one of the people who brings my own shopping bags, but I know that's not going to happen cause I never go in the same vehicle and would always forget to take them with me.
I can imagine, there were several times when I had to tell the bagger to give me a another bag or just leave my eggs to the side.
The fruits are not always fresh and I can't find certain items that were on the sale newspaper.
We don't really have a choice at our grocery stores, it's plastic. But I recycle all the bags and use it for trash or other recyclables.
For the most part our groceries are bagged okay. I just don't like when they get the bags too full.
Other than high prices at the store, I hate the inconvenience of shopping. That's why when I go I try to keep stocked up as much as possible.
BTW, I have no T2Q post, but feel free to...

When I shop at Aldi I bag my own groceries, with my bags.
When I shop at a store and they bag I ask for plastic because we recycle them at home.
I don't like when there's something on sale and come to find out they've moved it to an endcap somewhere.
P.S. beautiful shots
I also love the sepia in the top shot!!
1-Would rather bag myself, in my own bags
2-Can't think of any complaints other than rising prices!
Love these shots. The second photo has a good frame shot to the house. ^_^
Things in a row
I love the black and white shots. You don't see them much these days.
1. We bag our own groceries in the UK, unless you can't, then they would do it for you.
2. I keep my shopping bags (cloth) in my car. I always put them back in as soon as I empty my shopping so I don't ever forget them to take them with me.
Nice pics. The first is really good!
1. Both of the major chain grocery stores here hire, handicapped, but functional people to do the bagging. I watch where they put things, but overall they do a pretty good job.
2. I HATE it that they constantly charge more at the register than many items are marked on the shelf. They do this on purpose.
3. We have our own bags and use them when we remember. When we have to use there bags, we always use plastic because we have several ways to re-use them later.
