Heart of a Dahlia

Flowers have an expression of countenance as much as men or animals. Some seem to smile; some have a sad expression; some are pensive and diffident; others again are plain, honest and upright, like the broad-faced sunflower and the hollyhock.

Gorgeous header and an absolutely stunning set of flower photos!!
Your photos inspire me. I never would have thought about water relfections and how they look upside down until I saw yours. I love taking pictures of water now...you are a good teacher.

This is the time of garden tours around our neck of the woods. Last weekend, Hubby and I got lost in a world of beauty and peaceful repose in one fabulous garden after another. What a delightful way to spend a Saturday! I immediately came home to work on my own patch of weeds and make things more of what a garden should be. Love your up-close and personal photos of flower faces!

Judy, I always love your pictures and comments on my blog. I don't have much to say except thanks for these, and although I read your other blog and enjoy those pesky squirrels, this is the one I choose to say something on. Thanks for all you add to my enjoyment of life. :-)

Oh my how GORGEOUS!!! I don't think I've ever seen a real dahlia before, people don't seem to have them in their yards. But I bet they are not as pretty as your pictures make them look! Is this the flower in your header?

Lovely pictures. I can see why a dahlia is the favorite flower of so many.

This is so true. They can also evoke emotions from you you never thought you had.
I love flowers. I even love the ones people call weeds. If you get right down to their level on the ground, you can see how intricately they're made.

Wonderful shots! It is marvellous to see the detail of any flower. So many of us just take them for granted and don't really ever look at them properly to see the full beauty. A x
