Sweet Lady

It's Thursday and time for Thursday Two Questions.

Let's talk about gas prices. I know those of us in the US think we have high prices but folks in other countries pay even more at the pump than we do. On Tuesday $4.09 was the current price per gallon for regular gas in our town.

1) What is the current price for fuel where you live?

2) Have gas prices caused you to rethink any travel plans or even day to day driving? Or what changes have you made because of the prices?

The current gas price as of last night around here is $4.29, ouch!!

I've always tried my best to combine errands in one trip, and I have no plan to travel.

Beautiful photo with the ladybug, Judy!

In our area of UK (Berkshire, south) the cheapest petrol is £6:20 per gallon (£135.9 per litre)
I think that converts to about $10 per gallon. Higher grade petrol and diesel cost even more.

Oops, forgot to answer the second question.
We do as much shopping online as possible and we don't travel much. We walk!

Oh I love lady bugs...they are lucky!!

1.The lowest gasoline price I've seen in my part of the city is 3.62
Over the weekend we took a day trip toward the coast we bought gas of 3.58.
2.We definitely group our trips around town so that we get what we need to do on one side of town done all at once. Of course since I retired out gasoline bill has been cut significantly.LOL Main reason I retired.

looks like we are the lowest so far at 3.60 last week we were at 3.90 and for some reason this week it dropped. we have changed our life style drastically since the gas prices soared. we have always loved to ride around our county, up to 50 miles away, just riding and looking at things we had not seen even new parts of our own town just to see what is there. we would go on saturday early and ride for 2 hours just looking around, up and down side roads. we stopped that and only use the cars for necessary travel.

The gas prices around here vary from $4.10 to $3.90 -- and they have gone down a dime or so in the past week.

I take the bus as much as possible and drive much less with gas prices so high.

I paid $3.45 a gallon day before yesterday! It was a nice surprise from the almost $4 range. Yes, I do tend to think about trips into town a bit more now and try to combine errands or consolidate destinations to get more done in one trip.

Travel is at the very top of our list. I think the gas price was at $3.79 last time I looked. But it's not stopping us. Nice perspective over at Joan's blog!

I love your ladybug, it is a different kind! I can't tell you the gas prices because Phil takes care of all of that. But we have never taken a vacation in over 40 years of marriage, and we don't travel! So no need to re-think traveling plans. Betsy was so stunned when she heard this that it almost rendered her speechless. The farthest we ever go for fun is to the nearby cities of Richmond and Roanoke, about an hour and a half away.

$4.25 or so here. I shut my eyes at the pump!

Lovely ladybug!

I paid $3.79 the last time the car was filled up. With the closest small town being 9 miles away, combining errands is standard operating procedure. :D

1) I pay anywhere from $4.59 to 4.64 for gas. To fill my gas tank it costs around $85.00.
2) We used to think nothing about taking car trips to camping and such, but now, once we are out of the house we planned the errands so that we don't make several trips.

We have two red Chevy Malibus parked outside our house. We call my (older) car "Lindy's car" and we use it whenever she's with us, but my husband's (newer) car goes twice as far on a tank of gas, so we're planning to use it if we go for any long-distance dog-and-car trips.
Love your ladybug picture, Judy!

Gas here in Ontario, Canada is $1.33 per liter.

We used to have an extended van to taxi all the kids & their equipment but we have now downsized to a Kia Soul that they are all in university. It's so freeing! It felt the same when I could finally return to carrying a purse from a diaper bag after all three kids were potty trained!

Ours is about the same as yours. I have tried to curtail excess driving for some time. I make only as many trips as I have to.

Beautiful macro with beautiful framing, excellent color. No fuel price because I do long trips but it is the most expensive I've ever been in Spain.

$3.72 and climbing :( I think it will affect our summer drives, but I'm not sure how much yet...

The prices are going back down a bit here to 3.60s etc

And yes I did try to make sure I do everything that could be done in one trip to save on fuel.

Aloha!
