Hmmmm, this meme sounds fun. I may try it, if I remember to work on it. I will check back, hopefully, to read your TLC blog Tour.
Oh..........and love your Summer Sun post below this too.
My post for today: Fact or Fiction...you decide.
Thanks for the visit yesterday...your comments are always treasured!
Funny that now whenever I read a book, I look at page 56 to see what's on there. From "Practicing Medicine Without a License": "This study shows there is a clear association between Lp(a) and an increased risk of heart disease."
I've loved Patchett's work, and this one is on my wish list. Thanks for sharing this excerpt.
Here's MY FRIDAY MEMES POST
Morning Ms. J and happy Friday 56.
Mom is reading "Bark if you Love Me: A woman-meets-dog Story".
One of the sentences on page 56 she likes is:
"Se llama Libro," the men laughedand the girl's tears slowed. I said how intellectural Libro was, and how studious."
Speakin of books, Jack has a new cookbook out. It is called "Can I have some of that please?" He asked his readers to send in their favorite recipes and a pic...we did that and we're on page 21...
whoopee. I should be on Amazon in the next day or so.
Hugs Madi
Very interesting 56. The cover is interesting too.
Look forward to your review.
Thanks for participating!

Roberto Bolaño - The Savage Detectives. Spanish edition.
The first pictures were of the blond boy, dressed and then progressively less clothing.
Looks intriguing! I used to have problems telling dreams from life when I was much younger.
Uh-oh, I sense trouble in comment land? Comment moderation and a comment Deleted. Anything we should know about?
From A Taste of Crimson
The woman snarled: sharp teeth glinted in the poor yellow light of the hall.
Hmmm, sounds interesting!
From: They're Watching
"But one thing's still like the old days - it they wanted you ruffled, I'd be the guy they'd call."
Interesting quote indeed, I look forward to your review on this one.
Wow! That excerpt had me drawn in.
This really does sound like an interesting book.
"Then he did not hesitate long; but walked forward, stretched his arms as high as he could reach, for her to take one of the baby squirrels."
