Strawberry Blooms

The strawberries should be ready next month, yummy!

It's time for Thursday Two Questions.

Gardens come in many sizes, from a plot of land to a pot on your windowsill. A garden can be in the ground or in containers.

1) Do you have a garden, what type?

2) What is your favorite garden plant?

We have a large back yard, with a corner (about 20x20 feet) set off for gardening. When I grow anything, I like to grow squashes. One year, two squashes climbed up the blue spruce tree beside the garden area. When they got too heavy for their vines to support them (about 6 feet up) they fell, but weren't injured.

Gosh, I have never seen strawberry blooms and didn't even know they had any! We have wild strawberries and they have no blooms. I hope that creature is only a bee! We have a little tiny bricked in garden outside our kitchen, probably five people could stand in it. We plant wildflowers there, which are my favorite.

I have an herb garden at the moment - we need to build a raised garden so the wild rabbits don't think we're planting their own buffet. ;)

One of my favorite garden plants is sweet peas - growing up we had a vegetable garden, and one of the rows that was my responsibility to keep weeded were the sweet peas...they're delicious right off the vine! ;)

I love how the background is blurred in the 1st photo w/ focus on the blossom. Wide, open aperture... I think! lol Thank you for stopping by today. Yes, that photo was taken in the butterfly exhibit at the Wild Animal Park... my favorite garden plants are cherry tomatoes; love popping them in my mouth and those prolific zukes!

I have a small area in the back yard to grow cucumber, tomato, and green bean.

And I have pots along the side of my drive way to grow flowers. They are all my favorites.

I wanted to grow strawberry too, but the squirrels will just eat them before we have a chance to enjoy the blossoms.

Beautiful flowers they have!

I have a garden, it has all kinds of flowers and fruit trees. It is a modern type of garden that is very controlled, also very arranged. I like seeing the ground so nothing that spreads on the ground is my requirement and besides that anything goes.

great photos!
I have several gardens. Mostly they are a mixture of plants--flowers, bushes, herbs. I grow tomatoes, basil, lettuce, indoor plants, and flowers on my backyard deck.
no favorites! I love each and every one!
