Two Heads are Better?

I was out at the park last week and saw this cute duck and snapped a quick photo. It wasn't until I got the photos on the computer that I realized the duck was looking at something. Oh cool, I also got a turtle in the photo. But then I took a closer look, I think there are two turtle heads.

I cropped the photo to get a better look. It looks like a second head but it's not the same kind of turtle that I usually see at our park. Any thoughts?

For more photos visit Tuesday Takes (yep, I'm late again) and Outdoor Wednesday.

Morning Ms J and Ms Cindi Lou and the Krew,
Oh what a great surprise you had to find this unusual turtle.
I don't know much about them but it certainly is interesting.

Great shots often happen when we least expect them.

my only thoughts are two, one is love the color on that duck and second, whatever they are, the turtles look like they might be in love. maybe they are the same but different because of male/female. i know nothing and have not clue, just ramblingon

The top turtle might be a red-eared slider. We get those here - they have red patches where their ears would be. :)

No clue, Judy, but it was a fortuitous shot that got those two heads together. Wonder what they were doing that attracted the duck so much.

The duck and the turtles look like they are carrying on a conversation!
Beautiful duck. I don't anything about water turtles but the one on top must work out - he has a huge neck. :)

Funny how that happens...I've done the same thing. Only notice something when I'm looking at it on the computer.

Good picture.

Looks like the duck was watching turtle porn.
Sorry had to say it.

I love your header and matching background!!! No wonder the duck is staring!! I made the picture as big as I could, then used the magnifying thingy. Are you sure it's not two turtles?

I love getting lucky like that when there is an extra critter in the picture.

They do look like two different kinds of turtles....wonder if that's what the duck is trying to figure out?

Great photo. It's very cute to see such tenderness.

What a pleasant bonus! It happens to me too, sometimes.
This beautiful red head duck probably knows more about turtles than I do, I only saw turtles in the Zoo.
Lovely shot, Judy.

Love the yellow stripes on the turtle. We used to have a painted turtle. They are quite colorful.

Beautiful duck and a great catch on the turtles. I think they are about to have an intimate time! :-)
