Mystery Reveled

I believe in the imagination. What I cannot see is infinitely more important than what I can see. Duane Michals, Real Dreams

Hi everybody, my name is Spooky and I'm one of the Kitty Krew. In case you are wondering about my name I got it because when I was a little kitten I got scared really easy. I have told Mom that now I'm a big boy and real brave. I think I should change my name to something like The Hulk or Batman. Mom says we'll talk about it later.

Anyhow, it's my turn to bring you this week's Camera Critters and Quote It Saturday.

Do you remember the mystery bird my Mommy asked you about in a post HERE. She gave you a chance to guess what kind of bird you thought it was.

Maybe if you saw a little more of the birdie!

Some of you guessed a pheasant and you were on the right track. This is a Blue Eared Pheasant. They are common in Central China in the mountain areas. To learn more about this pheasant visit Wikipedia. This photo was taken at Pioneer Park Aviary.

I doubt that the imagination can be suppressed. If you truly eradicated it in a child, he would grow up to be an eggplant.
Ursula K. Le Guin, The Language of the Night

Bye for now!

Spooky, maybe you're right but I think your name is rather sweet. You're such a handsome chap, too.

Spooky, should keep the name. If he's so brave and grown up, he can spook all the enemies away now, :-)

I love the Ursula Le Guine's quote!

Holy cow!!!!! I remember my guess was a vulture! This is one impressive bird!! I think it looks nothing like one of our regular phesants?? But I've never seen one of those, either! It almost looks like a fancy hen. I know I've never seen one, yet it looks familiar. Like I have seen it in Chinese artwork? I adore the quotes, and I have read some of Le Guin's books.

I love the quote, pictures, intrigue, Spooky and your new header! Wow, this is overwhelming.

I have a cat that is skittish. In fact he is just a big ole scaredy cat, Spooky! So don't worry about your name. His is Tiger and he cannot live up to his! Yours is Spooky and you just might Spook the heck out of him. lol

The first quote is certainly something to ponder. The second quote has to be true.
