Can You Hear Me?

Visit Freda's ThisWay/ThursWay for more photos.

Thursday also means it's time for Thursday Two Questions.

Let's talk about communications today.
1) What kind of telephone service do you use at home? Landline, internet, cell or other?
2) Are you happy with your service or do you plan to change?

We currently have phone service through our cable company but as soon as the current contract is up we are going to cell phones only.

gorgeous photo!

i WISH our cell service was worth a darn out here, but in the country it totally stinks. half the time you have to go outside to get a signal - not exactly good for home phone use - and certainly not reliable for emergencies. so we have land line service just to get a semi-reliable signal...

We still have our land line and we each carry a Tracfone..it is so cheap and works great for an emergency phone while we are in the car away from home.
Our landline is also our internet provider which gives us both office computer and wireless on my laptop. Both work great.

So many people are getting rid of land lines!! We have land and cell. My problem with no land lines is this. Cell phone numbers aren't listed in the phone book!! Phil wants to go to only cell, but my church job is answering the phone 24/7.

Hello there..we got rid of one land line (mentioned in my post)..kept the other for my husband's business. We both use a cell or if we need to-use the land line for better reception. That way someone else is generally on a cell too but it helps?
Wishing you an enjoyable weekend-

We still have a land line becasue we have a security system. TWC says they are compatible but folks with know with TWC phone lines are not all that happy...PLUS we love our land line phone number. I cannot tell you how often we get comments on it.

Interesting composition. Cell phones (we call them mobile phones) will be the communication and hand held computer device of the future. Nothing else will be necessary.

Looks like our redbud trees.

We have land line and cells. I would like to give up the land line but cannot bring myself to do so. I'd like to give up one of the cells...but I cannot bring myself to do so. lol

When we moved to the PNW from Colorado three years ago, we gave up our landline and have not missed it at all. We each have our cell, and I kept the Colorado number while Hubby got a local number.

We have been using Vonage for the past 2-3 years. Over all, it's good. Of course the down side to any voIP service is when the power is out then so is your phone, but the inexpense and infrequent power outages are worth it to us.

1) I use OOMA, for all the calls that requires time on the phone and a fax line. We have cell phones other than that. It's been working great, no more monthly service fees from the local telephone company. Yippee!
2) I love the combo, and have been saving money from having these two combination. I love OOMA! I don't ever fear calling anyone because of minutes or the time of day.

1) I cut out landline phone service about two years ago due to a great numbers of calls from unwanted callers.

2) We are now used cell phone for everything, and the service is ok.

Ummm, we have a landline and cell phones...However, we wanted to get rid of our land line but the security system is plugged into it so we're stuck; UGH!!!

1. Landline for general calling, cell for calling friends and some business calls, and Nextel radio for internal communication on our farm.
2. We are happy with our service providers, though, combined, they are costly.

I have landline and I am happy with it at the moment but I use mobile phone while I am at home as well, it just depends who I call as some phone calls are free :)

have a lovely weekend !

My hubby and I have Verizon. It was Alltel but they merged with Verizon. We cut the landline because of the expense. We are happy with our cells. They usually work fine.

Love your new header.

Oh your tree is blooming so beautiful.

1) We have no landline, just cell phones.

2) Our contract is up, and we have no idea if we want to stay with the current provider, or go with a new one yet..It's still under researching and comparing the plan to get the most out of the money.

We use both cell and landline. I was talking to dh about getting rid of the land line and eliminating some bills, but he wanted to keep it for a bit.

My cell is just a tiny thing for emergency while on the street, but it's starting to drop calls so I'm not sure what's up with it.

aloha!
