Simple Things

Be careful that you don't get so caught up in the splendor of the clouds that you forget the beauty near your feet.
J Weber

I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.

Beautiful quotes Judy.
In our sophisticated life we mostly forget about simple things that surround us and their beauty, like this little clover flower.

Your new header photo is a fantastic composition. I can't figure out what that is in the middle of the road but it suggests a mail delivery system from ancient times. Am I right?
Take care of this photo, it's a winner.

There are lots of beauty closer to the ground. They are all mother nature's creations. Great photos.

Last night, when I returned from work, I could actually smell the grass coming back to life :)

Love that header, very interesting. And that bee is quite cute looking.

I love your flower photos!

I think the splendor below, above and within you is a gift we fail to grasp. Just as I also think that the simple, the complicated, the unexplainable exciting part of life is just as real and sweet.

Have a great weekend!

PS. I'm glad you reminded us of Natl Love Your Pet Day. I love my animal friends 24/7 but a special day for this means one of my dogs will bark about it! ;-)

Happy Saturday to you all,

I agree, small things are often missed. Imagine what that flower looks like to the bee.

I've seen several bee pictures today. It must be spring somewhere, but it is still February here.
Beautiful photos, especially the second one!

The simpler we keep our lives, the happier we become. It is after all all the little joys strung together that make the most splendid necklace that neither weighs us down, nor can be stolen away

Ah, to be like that bee!

Wonderful macros of the clover.. and the bee! Clover flowers are much underrated; where would we get all the wonderful clover honey we enjoy if the bees could not feast on their nectar? A lovely post.
