A Promise of Things to Come

Dear beautiful Spring weather, I miss you. Was it something I said?

Everything else in our yard is brown but the lilac buds have a little touch of color.

Lovely pictures...less is REALLY more.
I'm glad you like our header. I guess you probably knew it was of my beloved NC mountains...

here is a spring wish for you, come quickly spring for SQ and her little friends. Love that quote and every time is that little duckling swimming around it makes me feel good.

Beautiful macro shot, Judy.
I love and miss my old lilac bush. Another one of the many plants the deep south can't grow.

hugs,
Pam

Good shot. I wish we could grow lilacs here.

Oh so pretty! I wish lilacs would grow here in Texas. They were always so beautiful and something I miss from Wisconsin.

Incredible picture! Such promise inside that bud!

It's 21 degrees here with a threat of freezing rain, sleet, snow, or all three. It was 50 degrees around midnight so it was quite a drop within a few hours.

It's great to see the first signs of spring and your lilac shoot picture is lovely. I have seen a few snowdrops today,

It won't be long!
The hills are already all green here.

Your header is adorable! Spring is just bustin' out all over on your blog, and I love it!! Now I have to go look at our lilac bush, but I think there's nothing yet.

My lilac bush is full of buds, but I'll be lucky if any bloom. Riley has taken a liking to chewing on its branches. He has whacked away about half of it, like he is some sort of beaver.

Seriously? It was zero last night. Is there a farm for sale near you?

Envy! We're supposed to get some snow tonight. Sigh.....

That has to mean that Spring is just around the corner, doesn't it? Nice macro shot!

Any word on the Dewey book?
