and time can do so much
Unchained Melody
It's Thursday and time for Thursday Two-Questions. With Valentine's Day so close my questions relate to the holiday.
1) Do you have a favorite love song that holds special meaning for you?
2) Is Valentine's Day romantic or is it just another overly commercialized holiday?

I love the song by the Righteous Brothers...personally, Valentine's Day is just a 'Hallmark' day designed to make money but I don't feel like I need a day designated to let my loved ones know how I feel. I tell them everyday!
Regarding a favorite song? gosh, I have so many of them I just couldn't name one...
Beautiful rose. I would love to get roses on Valentine's day but my valentine isn't romantic.
That's a very romantic song, reminds me of the film "Ghost", very classic.
Oh my word.....I love the Righteous Brothers especially Unchained Melody.
I can remember slow dancing to this song at many 'sock hops'!!!
Ah the 60's clean cut young men in oxford shirts and sport coats and pinkie rings. Those were the days.
1.All of the love songs of the 60's were my fav one I especially remember was 'Cherished'.
2.We were married on Valentine's Day in 1970....thanks to the Marines. LOL Our first choice was February 7. My hubby was in the Marine Reserves. They had a weekend drill on the 7th. We moved our wedding date to 2/14 and hubby had a very nice haircut thanks to the Marines too!!! LOL
Madi and Mom
i love this song and the righteous brothers, these are from my teen years. no special song for me and i do think valentine is way to hyped now. i liked it better when a simple package of 30 valenines in a box to give at school.
Valentine's Day is more of a Hallmark day for me although I never refuse roses or any flowers that may arrive on that day. :D
I have no head for music, lyrics or the names; but when I hear a song that strikes at my heart, I am lifted up and hum along with it. You'd think I would know music because hubby sings professionally every now and again. lol BTW, I hum quietly because I cannot carry a tune.
Beautiful flower.
p.s., got the book from your give-a-way this morning. Thank you!
Unchained Melody is a beautiful love song. One of my favorites was by Chicago, "Baby Come Back".
Valentine's Day is mostly a sweet day for us. We exchanged home-made valentines and chocolates. It's a reminder to show our love in a sweet way.
I can't ever get that song out of my mind. Ghost came when I was most in love with my X-hubby, after my second child was born. It was a very memorable time.
The older I get the less romantic we get. I would give anything to feel the way I used to, no wonder men seek young chicks. LOL
As always, thanks for joining TTQ.
Years and years....I mean a LOT of years ago, I saw the Righteous Bros in concert. And their songs are priceless. The one you chose for this photo is timeless!!!!
Beautiful red rose for this special day.
I love this song especially in the interpretation of Elvis but this was a nice one too.
My very favorite song is "At Last" and it was played at my wedding to my sweetheart in 2003. It is an oldie but said it all for me at the wedding. I had waited for the guy for MANY years.
Hugs, Gail
Beautiful rose.I love this song too.
My husband and I have a song. Whitney Houston-i will always love you.Oh gosh, time really does fly:)
I have several favorites but I think Sting's "Love Is the Seventh Wave" is MY song. ;-)
Of course Valentine's day IS romantic and overly commercialized. ;-) Of course we need to love every day of our lives!
Your photo is amazing, I love it! I can't think of one special song, but even if Valentine's Day may be over commercialized, I still like it!
Great pic here...
"Milaix yorblog".
I like your blog. :)
I'm going with romantic and anything composed and sung by Don Mclean does it for me. :)
your rose photo is beautiful!
Unchained Melody was a huge hit here after the movie "Ghost" was shown years ago.
1) i have many favorite songs. on top of head, i love [Goin'] Wild for you baby by Bonnie Raitt.:p
2) V-Day is an overly commercialized holiday...romantics don't need V-day to show their love.
Oh, wow, I remember seeing Bobby Hatfield singing this song once. What a fabulous voice - so many good songs by the Righteous Brothers. Sigh.
I don't know when's the last time we did anything special for Valentine's Day, but I have high hopes for this year.

1) I have a few songs that when I hear it, it still numbed me..
2) Valentine has lost its true meaning for me a long time ago.
What a wonderful quote, and beautiful rose!
