Links

Our local aviary is fill with birds and waterfowl from all over the world. It is divided into two very large areas with flowing water and vegetation. Viewing is through a chain link fence so you can imagine the problems with taking photos.

But sometimes it comes together and a photo captures one of the residents like this Common Goldeneye.

For more photos visit Tuesday Takes, Outdoor Wednesday and Watery Wednesday.

All the colors behind the fence are beautiful, but that duck is even more so!

The link fence makes an interesting design with the lovely colors behind it, and the duck is wonderful in the circles of water.

Well, when I first saw the header, I wondered what was up with it. Perhaps the ever elusive and rarely seen squirrel bird? Getting ready to start chomping on those wires and render a whole city powerless. But it's after midnight and I digress. Why won't they let you in the avuiry? It's not like the birds couldn't just fly away? The goldeneys is amazing, I love it! I actually like the links with those colors behind them!

I also love the picture through the links. It's really an interesting pattern. Your eye is flawless when it comes to photos. I'm learning!

Yes we have a place similar to that here too, I know the problem of the fence getting in the way ;) The birds need their privacy I guess!

Super shot I love the colours and texture of the water. The duck is pretty too. Wire fences are a bother for photographs. I read how to set the camera to get rid of them. can I remember???? I think it was Av big aperture, and tele lens . The wire becomes so blurred and out of focus that you can't see it.

What lovely Common Goldeneye. There isn't one thing common about him though. Gorgeous eyes.

No wonder that bird is called a common golden eye. I would venture to guess that he isn't common though. What a handsome bird he is. See you next week.
