Happy Halloween

The moon is rising
all seems still
even the wolves don't sing

but something is stirring in the night

It must be Halloween!
J Weber

For those who observe this holiday have a safe and happy Halloween.

The theme for this week's Photo Time is the moon. Be sure to visit Freda for more photos.

Reaching

From ghoulies and ghosties
And long-leggedy beasties
And things that go bump in the night,
Good Lord, deliver us!

Old Houses

We see old houses all the time and think nothing of them. At Halloween we look at these ancient dwellings in a different light.

It's time for Thursday Two-Questions. I have some spooky questions for you this week.

1) Do you believe in ghost?

2) Have you ever had an experience that could be considered supernatural?

The Great Pumpkin

Linus: [to Sally as she walks away with everyone else] Hey, aren't you going to stay to greet the Great Pumpkin? Huh?

It wont be long now. If the Great Pumpkin comes, I'll still put in a good word for you!
[realizes what he just said]

Good grief! I said "if"! I meant, "when" he comes! [calmly] I'm doomed. One little slip like that could cause the Great Pumpkin to pass you by.

"Oh, Great Pumpkin, where are you?"

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

The Cosmos

This time of the year many flowers are beginning to fade but this is when Cosmos is at its best. I am seeing this beautiful flower in bloom all over town right now.

Flowers are our passion, won't you join in on the fun. Visit Macro Flowers Saturday and Today's Flowers for more photos.

Touch of Autumn

So far Mother Nature is using very light brush strokes to paint our trees, touches of colors are here and there. But there is a definite chill in the air so autumns colors are coming soon. To view more skies from around the world visit SkyWatch Friday.

Today is still Thursday and time for Thursday Two Questions. My questions today are about travel.

Is there a place you have visited in the past that you would like to visit again and why?

If you could travel anywhere in the world (or out of it) where would you go?

Autumn ?

The theme for this week's Photo Time is Fall Favs. I thought this would be an easy one. The photo above was taken yesterday at our one of our local parks. Really, that is from yesterday. There are spots of color around town but for the most part it is still very green here. So I reached back into my photo files and found a photo from last year.

This is from the end of last October. For more photos visit Freda at Photo Time.

Swimming through the Sky

Thursday means it's time to join Freda at Day One for ThisWay ThursWay!

Thursday is also Thursday Two Questions so let's get started.

This photo is from late summer but now fall is approaching. What is your favorite season?

I have seen winters in North Georgia, Alaska, Northern California, the Oregon coast and now both sides of Washington state. What is winter like in your area?

Step Carefully

I'm not sure what kind of a beetle this little fellow might be but he is tiny. The largest of those little thorns is less than an eighth of an inch.

Visit Macro Monday to see more of our tiny world.
