I should have mentioned that the photo was taken at our local aviary.

The composition of the photo is stunning! The aviary is a great place to capture photos...
This is an outstanding photo and the pheasant is awesome. Can't believe the number of colors on this magnificent bird..red, green, blue, yellow, white and black.

Mom says she remembers that song....however, I, Madi, have 2 questions:
1. Does that make her older than dirt or....
2. Does that make her Miss Smartypants.
I guess I better watch my tongue I hear Santa knows when I've been naughty or nice.
Hugs and Happy Saturday
PS that is one gorgeous pheasant.
Madi and Mom
How beautiful and colorful!!!!
At first I couldn't figure out what was the front beak, that orange spot looks like a false bill! Great picture, as usual!
I showed this pheasant to hubby. he says he and his dad hunted pheasants every year, they raised and trained and sold beagle hunting dogs. he said the one in PA look jst like this. i told him i am glad i did not know him when he was a hunter. he does not hunt now. he knows i would hunt HIM
beautiful bird
What an interesting bird! Ironically I've been singing that song ever since I posted the theme last week! I love that tune!
Thanks for participating! Can't wait to see your Celebration photo next week.
Beautiful picture of the Pheasant, Judy... Don't know the song though....
Have a great weekend.

Great fun remembering that song! The feathers are beautiful and almost don't look "real." Such perfection...
Not only a pleasant pheasant, but a beautiful one!
Bird id DEFINATELY the WORD!!! Thanks to you, that little song will be running over and over in my head now, but actually I've been teaching these old novelty songs to the girls, and now you've reminded me of one I had forgot!! Ella and Anne will be in for some more lessons!! The shot is beyond anything!! Not feathers, but glimmering scales and an inquisitive eye!!
Beautiful picture of a truly stunning bird!

It's feathers are so properly placed as well.
Judy, this is such a fantastic shot.
The feathers are so brightly coloured and so darkly defined in shape! Great shot!
The feathers look like they have been drawn on the picture because of the sharpness of the outline. A great shot.
Beautiful and colorful bird! What a treat to see, Judy!
A beautiful photo of a gorgeous bird! I love the colourful ones the best. :o)
It's truly amazing what colors birds 'come in'! Beautiful shot!
The colors are so magnificent!
This is a most splendid bird. I hope it doesn't become too diluted in the wild.
Morning J and Miss Cindi Lou,
Thank you so much for your kind words on my snow picture...I was just amazed when I loaded it on the computer. My camera has a snow setting that I used during the day but the one at night was just on the regular setting. I'm camera shopping mainly because when I try to make a video the camera has a terrible click click click in it... very distracting,
Hugs M&M

Beautiful bird, what an amazing coloration of the plumage. Nice shot Judy.
Popped in to say hi! I love that song!

I love the bird. It is like one of those royalty birds that I used to read in the kings and queens time.
Handsome guy!
Decked out in his finest, I see. What an amazing pattern and colors this bird sports!
