What an interesting little creature. I love the detail on his back and how you can see the little tiny hairs(?) on his back (must be some kind of feelers or something)...and the contrast between him and the spikes really add to the photo. Nice shot.
I'm guessing it's probably a nymph in the Hemiptera group (true bugs)and it's an excellent macro! Great camera work. The thorns make it even better. I'm wondering what this little guy is thinking...oops..and ouch! David/ Tropical Texana/ Houston

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

An interesting looking little bug. I'm just glad I'm not him having to navigate those thorns.
From what i see.. he s careful, negotiating the path around the thorns.
