my two favorite color is black, my 2n favorite is red, so you know i love the header and the pumpkin. also you are feeding my passion for old houses today. spooky or not, i love it.
What a beautiful house.... Yes to both questions. I've seen a ghost and now that I think back on it it was supernatural. Have you heard of the Maco Light? It is a pretty famous ghost story here in NC. Long story short, Mr. Baldwin was a railroad brakeman in Wilmington, NC in the 1800's. Somehow he fell off an was decapitated. His head fell down a ravine near a bridge. Story goes that he comes back every night looking for his head. He has a lantern in his hand that swings back and forth.
We kids heard that story for years finally when we were old enough my Dad and Uncle took 4 of us to see the Maco Light. There was no moon that night so it was pretty dark. We had flashlights. We walked down the train track for what seemed like a long time...nothing..then we turned to go back to the car when lo and behold between us and the car was a figure walking down the track with a light swinging. Dad grabbed me and my cousin and my uncle grabbed his two children. The light got so close to us we could see the color of our shoes and shorts. When the light got to the bridge it appeared to go down into the ravine. My dad and my uncle were just about as afraid as we were to go back over that bridge to the car. Several government agencies investigated the area for mica that might reflect headlights but nothing was ever found to explain the paranormal light. Different accounts of seeing it have it appearing from different directions too.
You can Google Maco Light to read more. I bet you are sorry you asked me. HA Lots of other Ghost Stories in NC too but this is the only one I've witnessed.
Love your Halloween header and pumpkin. I believe ghosts exist, but I've never seen one or heard one. That I know of, that is. So no, never had the experience, but that doesn't mean I won't in the future.
I'd have to say I no to both questions. Although, as a kid, I thought wouldn't it be cool to meet a ghost. In retrospect, I know that if there were ghosts then that would be horrible for the soul that's trapped. The Bible teaches us there is firery Hell, but who knows this could be their form of Hell --to be subjected to roam the ends of the earth for all eternity.
1) We were not allowed to believe in ghost since we were raised Catholic, but our dad said he had fights with ghost at times..so I don't know what to believe.
2) Never have that experience yet!
Your header is fantastic, and the picture of old house is fascinating to see.
Love your Halloween header!! I believe that dead people do not return to this earth, the bible says they know nothing of what goes on down here. I do believe ghosts are very real, but they are not people who have died. Love your picture of the old house!!
I believe in spirits that linger after death, so I guess I believe in ghosts. No, I have never "seen" anything supernatural, but I have "sensed" the supernatural.
We used to live in an old house like that when I was a child. Just for a few years, thankfully. It was a very sad house and did have a feel about it. I never saw any ghosts but I don't disbelieve if someone else does. Just glad it wasn't me...lol....
Beautiful picture of the old house, Judy... It looks alot like an old home in my hometown --which they turned into a museum...
I do believe in ghosts--but have never had any specific experiences.... I have had many 'feelings' of my loved ones being around at times. AND--I know that my 'angels' are with me constantly to help me...
Your header made a statement! Nice job on the photograph.
The old house is actually very lovely, and it sends a message of mystery.
I suppose I do believe in ghosts, even if I was taught not to. I frequently see shadows when I am alone at night and immediately thought of ghosts. Although my house is not haunted in anyway that I know of, I sometimes feel presence of another or see sudden flashes of shadows.
what is it about old houses and buildings that draw us to them? Fascinating, wonderful history unknown, and although I don't believe in ghosts, well, maybe I do kinda... spirits? Happy Halloween.
Love the old house...definitely a yes for haunted and should be a movie location.
Ghost question 1: Don't know; read descriptions of people saying they seen them such as a ghost in the Robert E. Lee home. My brother, chemical engineer and lawyer, said he thought he may have seen one. Can't say for sure if he was teasing or not or really did see an apparition,
2)Supernatural question 2: Yes, felt the sweet presence of God while praying on a very serious matter. I've never forgotten it and never will. It has only happened once.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

Eerie photo indeed.
Yes and yes. We had to get an Indian Shaman to come and get the spirits out with a tree-hugging ceremony.
