Autumn Joy

The little honey bee is enjoying the tiny flowers of the Autumn Joy sedum. Commonly called Stonecrop, sedums are a very adaptable plant. The Autumn Joy blooms from August to November. The blooms will change from pink to a copper color, perfect for the fall season.

As always, a gorgeous photo. And thanks for the info about this plant. I'm going to put it on the list of plants to get for the front of our house!

I don't think I've ever seen a sedum with pink blooms, and these are just lovely. I love the shade, but of course the bee TOPS it all!!

Such a pretty picture. While enjoying our break out in our lawn chairs this afternoon we could feel autumn float in on a gentle chilly breeze. The flowers colors all look so brilliant right now.

Hi Judy, I love our Autumn Joy Sedum... Ours is already turning brown --but it has gotten quite cold here now... I love it --since we have a big fire going in our fireplace... Yeah!!!!!

Love your header too.
Hugs,
Betsy

Excellent photograph! I like this sedum - we call it 'ice plant' - but I don't know what's happened to it in our garden this year.

the bee is good the header is perfect. what beautiful flowers. i am such a silly goose. i had to zoom on a blog before i came to this, the writing was to small for me to read, so the zoon was on 150 when i came to your post. the flower header filled the screen from side to side and I thought wow, that is a BIG header. OOPS then i released the zoom and it is gorgeous

Super macro of the bee and the sedum!
I have this sedum and so do my friendly neighborhood deer.
It's nibbled on pretty bad. :)
