No Traffic Here

As I headed up the trail I turned to look back at the lake and our Blue Mountains. After taking a few minutes to enjoy the view ............

....... up the trail I went. It was a little overcast and I had the trail to myself. If you look closely at the path you might see the horse shoe prints. This trail is used for riding and hiking but today it was all mine.

Visit Freda at ThisWay/ThursWay for more photos.

THURSDAY TWO QUESTIONS
My questions for you today are "What is you favorite place to walk or hike?" and "What is your favorite season for walks/hikes?" Check out all the questions at Thursday Two Question??????

Morning J and Miss Cindi Lou!!

Mom is an avid walker...I, Madi, just support her avidness. MOL

Mom loves a long walk in the Fall or Spring on the Lake Lynn trail here in our city; however, she has to drive to get there so mostly she walks in our neighborhood. She likes this too because she gets to meet lots of puppies.

The view is worthwhile and so cool! I won't mind along that trail!

I like the new colors on your blog, getting ready for fall, and more. Nice view, Judy, and yes I can see the horseshoe prints.

What a gorgeous view! The path looks so inviting! I prefer hiking in the fall when there's less humidity; although today it's going to be 90 and 80% humidity, so there goes that theory!

Magnificent view and trail. To answer your question, my favorite trail due to the convenience is right outside my door but it does NOT have a view like this one. :D

Wow what a stunning view. Man how I miss the bigger mountains. We have some views like that but the Ozarks are small and we are on the plateau...

My favorite trail to walk is the Tanyard Creek trail. Middle of the woods complete with a waterfall.
Favorite time of year fall and spring. Espically spring after a long hard winter.

You've started this as a story, so I hope you'll continue with what you saw on this path. My favorite place to walk is the mall,in the spring when the new fashions come out. I LOVE your header.

Those are gorgeous shots.

I have to say my favorite spot to walk is in the botanical gardens. I'm there all the time but can never get enough.

It's gorgeous all year but I think this time of year in the fall is my favorite. The autumn leaves, the fragrant air and nice crisp weather in which to walk and enjoy.

As always you've chosen beautiful views and shot wonderful photos. The shadows on the hills up there always seem so much more distinct than they are in the south and midwest, I guess it's the humidity?

Oh, I want to be on that trail! Just beautiful! I love to hike in the fall. We used to always go to Beaver Lake Baldwinsville NY when we lived in NYS. Here in SC we usually just walk the trails at campsites but it is not the same. I miss all that wonderful color of the Northern states. hugs, K

It is amazing that you were the only one on the trail on such a beautiful day. The lighting on the mountains in the distance is gorgeous!

I love paths and trails. I take pictures of them whenever I can. They're mysterious, hinting at what may or may not be over the hill or around the bend. Choices. Destinations. And the ones not taken.

Loved this!

Gorgeous scenery, and looks like the weather is changing!

My favorite season for walking would be fall, and some where around the water front!

I will hike wherever. Usually the woods are my fav place, but beaches come a close second. Then again, closest to where we live, Balls Falls is the best place for a picnic in summer followed by a hike along the river and the falls. In winter (when the kids were little) it was perfect for tobbogganing and then cross-country skiing. In RI where we used to keep our boat, Goddard State park has numerous trails for hiking and horses use those trails too. I often had to dodge piles in the middle of the path, or move to the side to let riders pass me.

I'm an off trail kind of guy. Bushwhacking gets you to places where wildlife is more comfortable. I'm lucky in that my back yard is 22,000 acres of forest with no intersecting roads. You can go out and walk all day and never cut your own trail. All but 1500 acres is privately owned. Very rugged, very wild.

Hi Judy, I'm trying to catch up today!!!! I love your photos ---and am glad you had the trail all to yourself.

My favorite place to hike or walk is deep in the mountains --when there are no people around (other than George and me)... We round a bend and there it is: a gorgeous waterfall!!!!!

I enjoy hiking in all seasons except the hot summer. My favorite season is probably winter though... There's usually water in all of the waterfalls during the winter and early spring.

Hugs,
Betsy

Love the photos. I'd love to walk there.

My favorite place to walk is on the hills of my Aunt's ranch in Cayucos, California. I can smell the wild sage and anise even now.

Fall has to be my favorite time for walking anywhere.

Sorry Judy, I am so late in returning comments. So lame to give any reasons, so I won't, just know you have been on my mind. Smiles.
1) My favorite place to hike is Mockingbird trails in South San Jose. It is very peaceful and I love seeing the horse riders there too. Though, T has kept SO and I from this activity for three years now.
2) My favorite season to hike is spring, it is not hot. I love seeing the new growths in the spring. It's very exciting.
