Do the Hop!

I was looking through some photos from last summer and ran across this fellow. I haven't seen any grasshoppers like him so far this summer. He was really enjoying my Shasta Daisies.

There is a whole world waiting to be seen in macro. Visit Macro Monday for more photos.

What stunning photos! Grasshoppers make me smile - they always seem to be looking sideways.

How very intensely green.
Glad they are not so prevalent this year. Yet.
Love the way you managed the white in the petals, and I am getting an inferiority complex just looking at that pictorial raindrop in your header.

Morning Miss Cindi Lou and J,
What a beautiful grasshopper. Such a nice shade of green and it is good to see an up close picture makes it easier to appreciate their beauty.

You can take a picture of a grasshopper and make him look like he has personality. Maybe he was a personable grasshopper but I think it's your photos!!

We had a grasshopper stuck to our windshield the other day for about 20 minutes at 55 mph. That is awfully impressive!

Superb close up. Really impressive stuff.

You are very brave to get this close to him. I'd be afraid he'd hop on me. Then I'd have to scream like a banshee, probably throw my camera, and run like my pants were on fire. So BRAVO for this great shot! Love his bright green color and the sun's reflection in his eye.

Omigosh! Look at those eyes! You're brave Judy, I'm so scared of grasshoppers hahaha.

Excellent in every detail! Love that you got his eye.

Recently I found a grasshopper on my son's back pack, it stayed in our yard for quite a while without us knowing, we had set it free...but apparently it didn't go very far. You've got this one on great macro shots!
