It was hot here on Sunday (101 F/38C) and we are expecting more of the same today. I know many of you are having similar temps so looking at something cool seemed like a good idea. Blue is a cool color and water always looks cool so here they are in the same photo.
this is so beautiful it makes me want to cry with joy. the little rain drop is a perfect mirror. I can see the other flowers reflected in it. what lens do you use for these close ups. this is fantastic and my all time favorite of your photos. you done good
You are so talented, Judy, and I do think it is cooling to look at that picture. Yesterday we got near 80 degrees and it felt really hot. But over 100? Yikes!
This IS something special! Wow! The size and reflection of that water droplet is amazing...I am sure you caught it a split second before it fell. It's beautiful!
Oh, my! I'm literally swooning! Do you mind If I copy this and put it in my kitchen somewhere? My kitchen is blue, but you can't even find store bought photos this pretty.
Yeah I know how you feel, been there and sometimes I don't want to do any movement 'cos one move and sweat will drip! I like the blue flower I can see the reflection on the neighboring flowers around. Nice Judy.
You have such a talent with that camera! They are gorgeous (the drops and flower)!
I'm still researching, but someone at Triond kindly gave me the answer and a spot to look up flowers. I found another one and immediately thought of you. They sell photos for up to $99. (dollars not cents!!) and your photos are premium!
My flower seems to be a daisy or Philadelphia fleabane.
ditto ditto! This has left me speechless which is unusual for me! You really should enter it in a contest-- I bet the Watery Wednesday photo meme folks would love to see it too.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.
