I was browsing through the Cookware store at CSN Stores and thinking about what I needed for my kitchen. As I browsed I remembered that I have been looking for an ulu so I typed "ulu" into the Cookware Store's search bar. I really did not expect to get a hit and thought I would see "no products match your query".
You will never guess what appeared before my eyes.

That's really cool looking! I might not be able to cut myself with that...I'm not allowed to go near the knives after my husband has sharpened them!
Wow! What a wonderful present I can give my husband, who does all the chopping and cooking around here. It's fabulous, and I've been given a review by an expert! Thank you, Judy!
This definitely looks like a kitchen staple. Can I get it with a side of fried squash?
I love me a sharp knife! I'm the queen of sharp knives! I can't cook without one! I think I need to go browsing now!
That is not only cool looking, but I bet it could wack off a finger with no problem at all...
I've never seen one before I don't think--but I have heard of them. I think they were used by the Eskimos...
Glad you like yours...
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh, I've seen this kind of knife before, but under a different name!! I'm having brain freeze and can't remember the name I know it by. I think it starts with an M.
That's one serious looking knife!!!
Yes, yes. I love that knife. It works like a charm.
It looks to me as though everyone will need to be super nice to you from now on. I will.
That looks impressive but I'm so cack-handed I'm sure I'd never manage it ;-)
Looking forward to the next snippet of information about the ulu.
I've learnt a new word today. You should get commission for plugging.
I haven't seen one before, but it looks like something I would love to have in my kitchen..
Since now you'll be in the kitchen more, shall we have dinner in the garden?
How interesting, Judy. I didn't know they were called a 'ulu'. It seem to be a handy cutter.
I think I will hold on to my Pampered Chef stuff for a while still. Happy Friday! Still following along.

J,
Oh my cats I thought a Ulu was going to be a new Feline toy you know like a Ulu Wubba. MOL I crack myself up...Madi is pretty silly today her brain has been fried by all the heat in Dixie.
I mom have never heard of a Ulu. I believe I need one though as I'm known to cut myself a lot. HA In fact my daughter could probably use one too she is left handed. Her husband took her sharp knife privileges away sometime ago.
I look forward to reading more.
Happy Friday and have a lovely weekend, Head scratch to Miss Cindi Lou

never heard the word ulu before, but i do have one. it was my grandmothers and it came with a wooden bowl, the bowl and the ulu are really old. mother used it to chop onions and cabbage or anything she wanted to chop really fine. no choppers available, just arm power, the wooden bowl and the ulu. can't wait for the rest of the story. I use it to make slaw, to chop ham into ham salad, things like that, never thought of slicing with it. now i know

Looks like a knife I would really love in my kitchen! Can't wait to hear more tomorrow.
No don't have one. Probably won't. I'm terribly accident prone and don't need to invite any more injuries (or missing fingers) to myself......
I do Ulu! :)
Mine is straight from The Northwest Territories - about as far North as you can get before the North Pole! I have to be very careful with it as it is very sharp and I am not too handy cutting things! Ha!
Have a Happy day!

I thought I'd decided on a purse from CSN, now I may need a knife, decisions decisions....LOL
Probably I should get the knife but I want the purse....
Rock that knife! If Rachel Ray had her hands on that, boy oh boy, what would she, could she cook? Looks like a cook's best friend.
looks like it is more efficient in chopping veggies and meat.
Hi there!
