Light and Petals

A Gerbera Daisy from my patio. It had just been watered and the afternoon sun was bright. I love to experiment with light, this shot is straight from the camera.

J
what a beautiful header...what kind of bird is that? It almost looks tropical.

I'll never forget my first sighting of a Rose Breasted Grosbeak. It was a Sat morning. I needed coffee so at first glance out my kitchen window I thought I was seeing things. Then I went back lo and behold there on my feeder was the most beautiful, red, black and white bird. I thought someone's pet bird had escaped. Grosbeaks only pass through Raleigh so I had to look it up. We were lucky enjoy to have him and his lady love stay with us for 2 days.
