A Gerbera Daisy from my patio. It had just been watered and the afternoon sun was bright. I love to experiment with light, this shot is straight from the camera.

Judy this is just gorgeous. I don't know much about photography but I have discovered it is amazing light is the answer...now if I can just figure out when, what kind light is needed each time I'll be doing good, Madi and Mom

J what a beautiful header...what kind of bird is that? It almost looks tropical.
I'll never forget my first sighting of a Rose Breasted Grosbeak. It was a Sat morning. I needed coffee so at first glance out my kitchen window I thought I was seeing things. Then I went back lo and behold there on my feeder was the most beautiful, red, black and white bird. I thought someone's pet bird had escaped. Grosbeaks only pass through Raleigh so I had to look it up. We were lucky enjoy to have him and his lady love stay with us for 2 days. C

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.
