Bearded Iris

The irises in my garden are starting to bloom, this variety is my favorite. To see more up close views of our world visit Macro Monday.

My hubby and I are headed out tomorrow on a road trip to Idaho and Montana, we will be gone for about a week. I have some automated posts set to appear while I'm gone. The posts will include Lucinda's story which I wrote last year for Mother's Day. I hope you enjoy it.

Have a great week my friends, I will catch up on your posts when we return.

this speckled iris is just amazing, I've never seen one with a pattern like it, didn't know such ones existed. The daisy on your other blog today is fantastic, but this might be even better. One blog for a lovely fresh shot of color, and the other for this unusual, almost exotic looking beautiful flower! Again, I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Pretty, pretty, pretty!!!! I ♥ iris.

My macro is one of the best things in life....my grandson's teeny tiny hand at age 1.

Stop by if you can, I'd love your company today.

Judy have a good vacation...ahhh Idaho and Montana that sounds wonderful....will you see Mistaya while in Montana? HA Of course we know Montana is a very large state but we had to ask.
I love the bearded Iris...I've often wondered about the ruffle on the tips of the ones I see...know I know.

Safe travels, Judy. And every time I see that beautiful header picture, I am again amazed at its beauty. The iris are gorgeous, too. They say their smell is very light, but I can smell in my mind, just looking at these pictures.

I luv irises too! I planted some Louisiana irises behind my mailbox out on the street. I thought they were the yellow ones that I had thinned out.

Nope, they were the maroon ones that were suppose to go in my flower bed.

I need to get them moved before somebody decides to give them a new home.

Fabulous! Once I get these veggie gardens under control, I may branch out to flowers, that is if I can find a way to discourage Maggie from digging mortar-sized holes and the total determination to eliminate flowering plants.
