Nature and New Life - An Earth Day Celebration

Today, April 22ND, is the 40TH Anniversary of Earth Day.

With that in mind N is for Nature!

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.

George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage

N is for New life.

You cannot imagine my surprise when I found these adorable little Mallard ducklings at a local pond.
They are the first little ones I have seen so far this spring. Click on any photo to enlarge.

I have more photos of the little ones at Through Squirrel Eyes.

Let's celebrate Earth Day by letting Mother Earth know how much we love her.
Happy Earth Day!

And that completes my report for this week's Alphabe-Thursday. Please visit Mrs. Matlock and all of the other students at Alphabe-Thursday.

As we celebrate today the "Earth Day" may we start to get into habit the green lifestyle to show importance to our habitat. It's never too late, we can still preserve our mother nature.

Great pictures depicting beauty and solitude. And what a nice surprise is was to find the cute baby ducklings!! We are the earth's caregivers, and this points out that fact.

What a lovely, tranquil post. I could nearly hear the creek babbling and the mallards oh so cute!!!
Our azalea blooms are fading..they have been gorgeous all over Raleigh. Nearly every yard in our neighborhood has azaleas. I have so enjoyed them this year,
Happy Earth Day,

Beautiful photos. Makes you wonder why more people aren't concerned with what's happening to the nature (Earth).

We are so fortunate to be in the Pacific Northwest, filled with beauty like that in your pictures. Earth Day, it's been 40 years of trying to help Mother Earth through recognizing what we can do to help. Little things matter.

No darling ducklings here yet. I like your new link feature. I looked at the tulip icon and thought, that looks like my tulips this week. And it was!
