With that in mind N is for Nature!
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.
George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage
You cannot imagine my surprise when I found these adorable little Mallard ducklings at a local pond.
They are the first little ones I have seen so far this spring. Click on any photo to enlarge.
Let's celebrate Earth Day by letting Mother Earth know how much we love her.
Happy Earth Day!
And that completes my report for this week's Alphabe-Thursday. Please visit Mrs. Matlock and all of the other students at Alphabe-Thursday.

That last shot is absolutely heart-warming.
That dandelion photo is beautiful!
Here's to new life - it's all over the place up here!
Yes, let's do that - we love you Mother Earth!
I love the little duckling shot. Amazing!
As we celebrate today the "Earth Day" may we start to get into habit the green lifestyle to show importance to our habitat. It's never too late, we can still preserve our mother nature.
Life doesn't get much better than a walk with nature and discovering new life.
Beautiful Earth Day post, Judy.
Just amazing shots, the ducklings are adorable.

You can't beat nature for pure beauty especially when photographed by you. The duckling is so cute.

Gorgeous photos and a wonderful way to celebrate Earth Day.
Great pictures depicting beauty and solitude. And what a nice surprise is was to find the cute baby ducklings!! We are the earth's caregivers, and this points out that fact.
What a lovely, tranquil post. I could nearly hear the creek babbling and the mallards oh so cute!!!
Our azalea blooms are fading..they have been gorgeous all over Raleigh. Nearly every yard in our neighborhood has azaleas. I have so enjoyed them this year,
Happy Earth Day,
Madi and Mom
Beautiful photos. Makes you wonder why more people aren't concerned with what's happening to the nature (Earth).
We are so fortunate to be in the Pacific Northwest, filled with beauty like that in your pictures. Earth Day, it's been 40 years of trying to help Mother Earth through recognizing what we can do to help. Little things matter.
you certainly found a lot of new life to post. the funny little bird made me smile, he looks like he is at attention. the yellow flower is specail, i like the unopened part best, beautiful shot on that one.
Your series of photos glorify Mother Earth, and the new ducklings are wonderful to see.
All the pics are wonderful but the ducklings are my favorite. In highschool I was called Ducky!

No darling ducklings here yet. I like your new link feature. I looked at the tulip icon and thought, that looks like my tulips this week. And it was!
Great photos, I can't wait for all the lights downtown to go off tonight for earth hour. It's always so eerie. Earth hour is on earth day right?
