L is for
Lake. A great place for summer fun.
L is for
Lawn. It always looks so innocent in photos but in fact it is my arch nemesis and the reason I am always so far behind on my comments. We are constantly at war as it hides weeds and only allows plants to grow in areas of its choice. The grass on my
Lawn also grows very fast and has been mowed twice already this year including today.
L is for
Lilacs. Speaking of yards, the
Lilacs in my mine are getting ready to bloom. Before long the whole area will smell so good.

L is for
Love. It is Spring and
Love is in the air.

Sorry I got a little carried away, hope you don't think this is too
Long.
This completes my assignment for this week. Be sure to visit our teacher Mrs. Matlock and all the other students at
Alphabe-Thursday.

Your lawn is lovely! How I love the smell of lilacs, I wish it lasted longer.
I love the smell of lilacs . Thanks for sharin those beautiful pictures. No , your post is not that long . Where I live, I think we will have another snow fall before spring .
I adore lilacs ... i also wish they were around longer ...
Lovely, lovely pictures in your last two posts:-) ME LIKE VERY MUCH!!!
We don't even have any leaves yet on our trees... some springcrocuses and snowdrops - thats's it. I think our lilacs will bloom around the 1st of June this year...
Have a nice day!
Love the lilac photographs!
Surely, lilacs must grow out here in the San Francisco area but I never see or smell them. They would be such a joy!!!
How lovely are all your bird pictures....it must be egg laying time and, soon, there will be little swans and ducks swimming around on the lakes with mommy and daddy!
So many adorable pictures :))))
You have also many patience to make your shots !!!!
And yes the smell of lilacs is SO wonderful :)))))))
GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS photos!!!! Most excellent L!!
Wasn't Flyaway awesome? I bought many copies for friends!!
Lovely photos ~ some wonderful 'L' words! :)
LOL! You filled up my mind with "L" words...Ludy!
Love
LA
Beautiful pictures. I love lilacs. They are so fragrant. My in-laws used to have a lilac bush and I loved when we would go there and they would be blooming.
L is for Lady who has a great blog!!!
What a beautiful post oh yes the battle of the lawn has begun. One year for Father's Day my daughter gave her Dad a t-shirt with
"I fought the lawn and the lawn won" on the front of it. Oh so appropriate too. Madi and Mom
You have a georgous, lush, yard! Is that red leaved plant the nardia that you taught us about last year? We have lots around here, and whenever I see one, I think of you, because I hadn't known what they were called before. O.K., I have been taking pictures of our lilac in stages of bloom, but then your pictures are so much better. I need to go out today and try again. It's something to do with your light, as well. I can't get them right with the sun on them.
Love is in the air and so is POLLEN!~ Beautiful photos...the flower shots are gorgeous!~ Have a great day:)
Photos like you posted can never be too long! Fantastic pictures! Thanks for visiting my blog. Our Ragdoll is a joy, she looks a lot like your picture of Tasha. Have a most wonderful AlphabetThursday! Kerrie
What a fun meme Judy.Great shots and is that your lawn...looks beautiful.Love is in the air and I love those ducks.
And L is for Lovely. Very fine batch of Lookers, Judy!
my belief is that any and everything is best views through the leaves and limbs of trees, your first photos prove it. love the duckies
Your post is always so interesting, with gorgeous photos, so I don't think it's long at all Judy! Love it.
I don't do grass. If it were up to me to mow, I would use roundup on all my grass.
Luv the multi colored duck. It's my favorite.
I've thought of replacing the grass with green gravel, actually we did replace some with gravel, we now mow the gravel because it's grass again....
GREAT pictures, I really like the duck ones and the lilac...
One of my goals in moving to the mountains was to not have a lawn to mow ever again! Yours is just gorgeous, thanks for sharing it. I love to look at other people's beautiful lawns so I don't get tempted to try and grow one of my own!
You have many beautiful "L's".
I love them.
My lilacs are about ready to bloom too!
Always a Lovely collection!
Lovely to say the Least! Not Lingering or Long at all!
Thanks for turning me on to Jenny's blog through Alphabet Thursday! I just love her blog!!
I am hoping to join in the fun next week!!
Great "L" post and wonderful images, as always.
We're ready for our second mowing, too!
Absolutely lovely photos, I am going out tomorrow and start snapping away. My knee is doing better and when I see photos like yours, it makes me want to get outdoors. Lovely!
Lilacs are one of my favorite parts of spring. And the gooselings. Those are just adorable.
I am always skulking about my neighbor's lilacs in the spring. Hope they don't catch me stealing big sniffs.
Great photos. I soooo need a new camera. You take amazing shots.
that was a great post
L -----literally loved it alllllll (lots of l's there)
So pretty! We do not get lilacs here and they are my favorite flowers. Could you please include the scent of them next time?
Loved the picture of the lake too!
Thank you for this lovely respite on my journey through the Alphabe-Thursday "L" posts!
I am sooo envious of your lilacs...something that will not grow in our low desert!
But I'm glad that such a lovely lady can enjoy them!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
A+
Lilacs won't grow in NC...or I couldn't get them too anyway! Your pictures are so peaceful! This is my first time participating in alphabet Thursday! What fun! I already follow your blog. Have a great day!

Love, love LOVE the bird photos..all of them.
Great choices for L. My favorite are the lilacs, they are so beautiful and the scent is heavenly. Your lawn may be your arch nemesis, but it is gorgeous. Kathy
Everything is so beautiful. I am waiting, and not very patiently, for our blooms to form and for the spring to really take form. We were getting snow showers today.
absolutely beautiful photos! We love going to our family house on a lake in the North Georgia mountains during the summer. so refreshing! I hopped over from Alphabe-Thursday and am so happy that I did! I am the new kid in class, and learning my way around. Please accept my invitation to drop in at my place one day this week when you get a moment. I have become a follower and hope you'll do the same. until later...
Beautiful "L" choices, Judy.... I especially love the LOVE one.... Spring is the time for LOVE---and all of the critters are doing it!!!!! ha
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
We just got rid of our snow, and we had a 30% chance of snow today - lawns, we wish! Yours is heavenly, but not all weeds are bad. I am forever finding new ones to add to the list for their usefulness.
Great L worlds and beautiful photographs. I don't think Lilacs grow here...at least I've never seen them. I used to love seeing them bloom.
Lovely L words and Lovelier photos!
fantastic pics, really like the macro shot of the unopened flowers :D
Your L list is so wonderful, the picture of Love / colorful Duck is so very unique~ Love it.
i can almost smell the lilacs from here. i have to laugh at the lawn comment...we mow ours once a week here in california..year round! :)
One of my favorite summer times in a regular week is right after I'm done mowing the lawn. The world seems perfect....for about a day!
And wouldn't ya just love to freeze those days when the lilacs are in bloom. I would.
Thanks for the trip!
Lovely.... Oh, your photos are always so lovely. The first one of the lake really filled my spring feverish heart with longing. Wonderful post.
it all looks so peaceful....I just love lilacs....yours are almost ready!
Your photos are just glorious - I am still under snow in the Mts of CO, so I'm certainly enjoying your spring color!
