Great pics of the red squirrel. We only have the smaller grey squirrels in our area. Thanks for stopping by and identifying the insect in my ww photo. Greatly appreciated!
Pi Pie! I see you! that is what i thought when I saw your sweet little fat squirrel, yours are so much bigger than ours here in Florida. my friend in Ohio has big ones that are cousins to yours. He doesnt look camera shy to me.
Great pictures, and with a bonus for me. Because we don't have any red squirrels around here! I've never seen a real one, just pictures, all from you! Squirrel Queen rocks!
I was walking along a trail the other day reciting prayers and suddenly I looked up to see a squirrel about 30" in front of me. It couldn't decide which way to it started to go right and left several times before going one way and then the other, up a tree and along a branch over head. I passed beneath thinking it ironic that the way it chose happend to keep me only 2 feet to thirty inches for a good 1 feet or so when it had the entire woods to choose from. It couldn't have chosen better if it had done so deliberately to atay close.
Oh my, is she precious or what? What fantastic closeups. Makes my little squirrely diva almost invisible :) Thanks so much btw for stopping by and commenting on my post.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

Such nice close-up squirrely shots! That's some beautiful color on the animals, too.

sure, they look cute now, but when they start stealing the tomatoes out of my garden, I see them differently.

Incredible close ups. They have such intelligent little faces!
It looks very inquisitive - maybe it was waiting to be paid for modeling!
What great close ups! He looks so inquisitive! I wonder if his fur is as soft as a rabbits or is it coarse?
My squirrels are not so cooperative. Yours are really cute. We have a blond one around here and I can never pick up the camera quick enough.

Your squirrels are much cuter than ours... Ours are the old gray ones --and they are NOT shy!!!
