You have violets? Already? You're so lucky...we won't have them for another month or so. Our hillside is covered by them and they smell so sweet and inviting. What a lovely picture you have taken..too bad it isn't 'scratch and sniff'!! haha! Have a wonderful day, Cat
How beautiful... the upclose of the flower reminds me of an angel with her head bowed.....I know I have some imagination. Lovely pictures and very spring like. Madi and Mom
living proof that spring is springing all around us. the tiny little flowers are so wonderful, beautiful shot and I can't wait for all of our tiny little wild flowers. we have several state parks that fields of itty bitty flowers will be poking up their heads any day now.
Hi Judy, Isn't it amazing how using macro can make something so tiny look so big..... Wish there was a magic lens where we could take something BIG (like me) and make it smaller!!!! ha ha

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

I never would have guessed this is a violet! It looks rather like some kind of orchid, but so lovely and dainty!

An unusual colour marking for a white violet - rare, surely. Thanks for finding and sharing that one! I love the macro challenge.

So pretty. It looks like it's puckering up for a kiss. I guess even flowers can sense the loving magic of Spring.
The macro is awesome. Such an ordinary little flower captured so beautifully.
Lovely tiny flower!
