Yesterday's Mystery

Well, not that much of a mystery.

Here is another view of the same object. When I posted the photo yesterday I knew most everyone would get the right answer. It is just a drop of water on a water resistant hoody. I should have know DJan would recognize the type of fabric. The hoody is black but the light gave it a gray appearance. The color in the shadow is the true color.

These were experimental photos, I was playing with light sources. I seem to have a fascination lately with macros and water droplets. I hope everyone had fun.

Yes, I had fun. I knew it's on fabric, but the texture sort of different in macro.

Those are some fun pictures you took. You just never know what kind of interesting photos you will get when you play around with light. Very nice!

Judy you just keep right on posting drops of water pictures they look like diamonds to me!!
It is amazing all the facets you capture.
I once tried to learn to knit...until I figured out my left hand has a mind of its own and will not do anything at the same time as my right...ha I can't pat my head and rub my tummy at the same time either.

Yes, Judy, living here in the PNW you sure learn about waterproof fabrics. You look to see if the water beads (like this one) or absorbs. If the latter, time for a new one, or waterproofing! I also am fascinated by water droplets, but none of mine are very interesting (yet!).

Hmmm---I knew that most everyone was guessing a water droplet--but I couldn't see it... Oh Well!!! It still looks like a button to me. At least I knew that that was fabric underneath.

Love your 2nd picture today, Judy.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love macros also, my patience doesn't include getting photos of them. I had fun, you should do another what is it?

Amazing macros. I am impressed by how the water droplet magnifies the texture of the fabric.

Judy and Miss Cindi, we had a blast, I knew it was water, but went to for something different. I knew I should have stayed with my gut feeling. Guess mom's still not still back to herself. Well, we're back to the hospital tonight and we'll be 100% then. Back on the old horse, ya know how the saying goes. You're photos and guessing games are the best! Love the holly with the water droplet. You take some of the best Macros I've ever seen. Meow Miss Cindi! Woof Soon. Much LOVE!

Duh!! I was probably the only on who didn't guess it! But the drop is exquisite, a microcosm of the world in one drop!! Even the edges of the leaf look exquisite and have beauty not seen with regular vision..

I love macro shots like this. The water drops look fantastic. My camera doesn't quite have the capability to do them this good.

Am enjoying your macro shots Judy. Am trying to take some decent macro shots but I really need to practice more.

The second one is my favorite, I can see the reflections on it.

Have a nice day.

These are both amazing macro shots, Judy. I am in awe of the simple beauty a droplet of water holds. Well done!
