Reaching into my archives again for something sunny. This is one of my first bee photos from this past Spring. She is checking out the new blooms on my raspberry bushes and I fell in love with her lacy wings.
To see more of the world up close visit Macro Monday.
Judy and Miss Cindi, we cannot agree with you more. I think we are getting more snow tomorrow. I do like the snow, but just on weekends. I cannot wait for flowers and birds and spring and bees and well..you know..warmth. Happy Valentine's Day to you and all your loved ones!!! Much LOVE. Woof soon.BTW,little Miss Bee does have nice lacey wings..BOL!!! How pretty!!
Yes, another great bee photo! That bee just pops right out of the picture, and the wings are awesome. I just don't understand how you can get the lens so close to them without them flying away!!
Indeed when will it be spring!!! If you find spring let us know!! Beautiful pictures. Once again we had snow here in Raleigh...not much this time (2"). This is my kind of snow it snows and melts all in the same day. Happy Monday, Madi and Mom
Love this..what a wickedly beautiful shot! I love bees..they are charmers..you have captured this moment beautifully!Love how sun-soaked this scene is too! Kiki~
busy little buzzy bee is so cute and does herald the coming of spring. now if he will just do his job and get rid of all this cold and snow and bad weather. I say come on spring. when we see the bees we know summer is on the way. no bees in my yard right now for sure. I wonder where they go during the winter.
Very, very soon. The pear trees have been blooming here in Phoenix for the past two weeks and our desert trees are beginning to show buds. I have lots of bees on pear blossoms, cape honeysuckle, and lantana.
I hope tomorrow but it cannot its snowing here for days :( Wonderful shot :-) I need also spring We have never received so many snow like this year !!!
You do bees so well Judy. I'm helping do a website and the lady paints bees on things with her flowers, then I see a bee on here...can spring be far off?

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.
