drop of water on carpet? whatever it is I like it. i am pretty sure it is carpet, but I can't figure how a droplet would stay there. waiting to find out, Oh Southern One.
Oh good, a guessing game! I would like to know how you did that. My macro can't even do justice to a ladybug. If that is fabric, then it must have Scotchguard! But I don't think it is, because upon clicking, it doesn't appear to have any weave to it. Whatever it is would not look anything like that when you back up, I'm guessing. Only because I can't think of anything else, I'll say indoor/outdoor carpeting. But if anything else occurs to me, I'll be back later with a new comment! This will drive me nuts!
Judy and Miss Cindi Lou Who, what a gorgeous and simple shot. I think it's one of those glass stones on some fabric like burlap or say a couch fabric....lots of texture. That's my best guess. BTW, thanks again for the kind comments. ;-) meant the world to me. I'm a bit slow getting back. Took the wind out of my sails, but your blog always gets me rolling...LOL..thanks for that. Meow Miss Cindi. And if I forgot to say it before, I am glad your Tasha is up in heaven to play with my Dakota and Ripken. She looks like a sweetie. She's purrdy. Much LOVE! Woof soon.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

How nice!
Beautifully simple, and simply beautiful! Sometimes the simplest things really do work the best. What a great idea!

I'm thinking it's a water drop too. I love the simplicity of the picture!
It kinda looks like one of the glass gems that you use to glue on your projects.
Hmmm, drop of water on waterproofed upholstery?

It looks like water or a glass paperweight or a contact lens or glasses lens....cool!
For pairs shouldn't there be 2 drops?
Still lovely.

A drop of water on indoor/outdoor carpet!
You have a wonderful gift for macro. :)
If it's not a drop of water, maybe it's a glass marble. Great picture. I love the light in it.
excellent work.

Lovely light and selective focus.
Beautiful. A drop of water?
Could be a water drop or it could be a tiny shell resting on carpet?
who cares what it is...it's beautiful!!!
A water drop on some rough fabric or one of those glass flat beads like some people put on headstones down south.
I have no idea --but it looks like it could be a button of some kind.
Hugs,
Betsy
Guessing that's gotta be water but who knows. I love the way it magnifies and changes the color of whats beneath it.
Drop of water on some sort of fabric. This is going to bug me until you tell us.
Simple but beautiful photo :-)
Hugs for Miss Cindi from ME

Macro on macro. Is it a drop of water on fabric or carpet?
Gorgeous photo!
Looks like drop of water but..? It's pretty whatever it is! Nice shot, I also really like your banner photo - beautiful!
I love the shadow that the droplet casts, and how the material gets fuzzy near the front of the shot. Really, really cool shot!
