The photo above might look familiar to some of you if you dropped by yesterday. If not you can look at the post below this one. The comments from yesterday's post had a request or two that I would like to answer. I had an invitation from
Tell Me Thursday (about Wordless Wednesday) to share the story behind the photos. The photos were taken at our local aviary which has a wide variety of birds from around the world. When I arrived the first thing that caught my eye was this fellow. He was walking around with his head held high and strutting his stuff. Then he flew to the top of this perch and began to groom and pose. He put on quite a show which I did my best to capture in photos. Want to hear more stories about Wordless Wednesday posts? Visit
Tell Me Thursday.

I also had a question from
Strawberry Jam Anne. She asked if he had displayed his feathers.
Anne, he did indeed!

And I am also participating in
Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday. The letter this week is "F" and "F" is for Feathers. Be sure to visit
Alphabe-Thursday for more of the letter "F".

Mister Peacock was really showing off.

Hi Judy and Miss Cindi Lou,
We did certainly enjoy part 2 of Mr. Proud as Punch Peacock. I don't think I've ever seen one with such a array of feathers. Alphabet Thursday that sounds very interesting. I'm always looking for new ideas. I'll check it out.
BTW: Mom loved your GA roots mentioning So. cornbread with chili that is exactly what we had with it...and if I must say my mom makes some good cornbread. Mom here Madi loves cornbread!!! HA

I have yet to get a spread of feathers like this one, we have many of them wandering at our local flea market, but it seems if I have a camera they don't spread their tail feathers, it is like they KNOW. thanks for the story. the color in the 3rd one is awesome

When i first saw the one here, i thought it was a vine on a fence; took a double take and realized what it was.

Beautiful....love the peacock feathers on those boys...our neighbors have one who talks all the time in the summer but it's a girl and not that cute! (Males attract the females with their colorful feathers).

Peacocks are so beautiful! I used to chase after them at the zoo when I was a little girl.
These are so beautiful they don't even look real.
I absolutely LOVE your header photo. I especially like how you can see other parts of the plant in the rain drop. Amazing.
Found you thru Friday Follow. (I'm late due to the flu yesterday.) I take lots of photos but none like yours. Perhaps you can give me some pointers after you check my blog. :)
