ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!!! Mom says she wants a dress with those colors in it too. I (Madi) would never get by with a naughty thing if mom had that many eyes on her.
Mom said the my vicious meow picture might resurface on Halloween. HA!! If only she can figure out how to get a witch's hat on my head. HA Madi and Mom
That is breath taking! I am always amazed that those birds can drag those feathers around or hold them up to display...nature is marvelous and so is this photo!
I love peacocks and their feathers, it seems we always had a vase of them sitting around when I was growing up. I tried to raise peacocks once, they ran away and would scare us in the woods. You haven't lived till a peacock has started screaming from above your head unexpectedly.
Judy do you know that peacock is the national bird of India? Because it's the symbol of Beauty, Joy and grace and it represents the lively and colorful culture of India ! but the important thing in a peacock is its claws.. have you ever seen and wondered why they are not so beautiful? God has prevented it from many sins ! ☺
Yes, Judy, it's twilight zone time again. Someone owns a peacock on the road i drive to work and for the last few days, it has still been sleeping when i go by in the morning. I was fascinated by that long, trailing ....thing hanging off the fence.
And here you are posting a photo of almost exactly what i have been seeing every morning for the last oh, seven, mornings.
doo doo doo dooo. If i get on a plane anytime soon, i am absolutely not looking out the window at the wing. LOL! Its a great photo and thanks for sharing it! Have a GREAT and MAGICAL day!
WOW! That is amazing. I love the colors. I took a photo a couple of year ago in Hawaii of my husband walking down a path and a peacock was walking beside him. Really cool creatures.
These are wonderful pictures of this peacock. The first picture makes me think of a hairy monster, with all of those eyes. I guess that's what the bird's evolution intended.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.
