How wonderful...this image reminds me of dance and movement. The center tree appears to be dancing with its branches moving gracefully to and fro--a tree ballet. Lovely!

That is a beautiful picture. I really like trees too and boy the cats love trees, going up and down. That is pretty interesting that they are 100 years old. Have a great weekend. And thanks for visiting our blog.

The parks of London are great for strolling around. The snow just seems to add to that.

lovely! In monochrome and with bare branches, the shapes and designs of the trees are evident. love how the branches reaching skyward make a canopy overhead.

They are great during the summer time.

But they are great right now for your photograph.

I love old crooked trees like that and I love black and white photos, there is such a moodiness to them. Thanks for the link to Mononchrom Weekend, great photos.

You pay homage to these handsome old trees. Nice work.

These are lovely old trees. I never knew there were different kinds of sycamore. Their limbs are kind of bent and going in all directions, wonder if that's from their age, or maybe weather, snow and ice. They rather remind me of myself! I'd love to see them with leaves and in different seasons.

Hi Miss Cindi Lou and Judy,
What beautiful trees in monochrome so very tall...they would even make Remington look small. We are trying to stay warm here. I've been following the sun from room to room today.
Now I'm waiting for the Mom to sit down so I can sit on the couch with her.
Happy Saturday,
Madi and Mom

The footprints meandering between these trees make this image for me, as they echo the markings on the bark of the tree in the foreground. A bleak, though atmospheric, image. Very satisfying.

Wonderful shot of the beautiful trees. This might be a duplicate comment. I'm having trouble with my browser. Happy weekend.

Such wonderful perspective on this photo!

Aren't these the same trees that had that little crook in them last summer? They are very beautiful in B&W, Judy.

There are plane trees in the park near me in London and although they are probably too large for the space, they are lovely to look at.

Like the picture in your header too!

I think winter trees look great in mono. Your picture is lovely Judy. I like the way London Plane trees shed their bark.

Great work Judy!! Makes me think of a Stephen King book or maybe some English novel?

A foot a year, how perfect. I especially like the exposed branches and the patterns they reveal. Nice shot.

So much beauty and character. Well done!

Lovely monochrome - plane trees are quite simply beautiful, in winter the bark is exquisite and in spring/ summer they extend their huge green canopy. We have a number of the plane lined avenues in Johannesburg planted in earlier part of th last century, probably influenced by the English?!
thanks for the visit and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thanks for stopping by my playground. And thank you for telling me about the black and white directly from your camera. This is a wonderful photo. Monochrome is quickly becoming my favorite. I wonder if my Canon Power G10 Power Shot can do that. Break out the manual time LOL. Very well done my friend :)

That's a beautiful winter scene!
Thanks for the reminder with the 'straight out of the cam' B&W.
Mine converts it in the camera, I need to try the result one of these days :D
Forgot all about it ;)

What a lovely shot. I love winter trees in monochrome - so many different patterns in the lace of twigs - they seem to be engaged in a slow and stately dance.

I have a passion for trees, all kinds, these are beautiful and i know in the spring they will be even more beautiful. Our world needs more trees planted and less taken down.

thanks for visiting my site.. This photo is beautiful and serene.. love it!

I love black and white pictures! They are what I use when I draw. Color skews what you see when you draw. These are my favorites! BTW-Stop by my place, I have a little something for ya!

100 ft tall and 100 yrs old.. they outlasted all those who planted them and probably will last much longer if there is political will to protect them

Very nice monochrome picture!

I like how the tracks lead the eye from one place to another - and the trees are awsome!

Can't add too much to what's already been said. Love the photos of course, because they are trees! 100 yrs and much wiser than i shall ever be. . .

I love trees, and this looks like a beautiful spot. Shooting in b/w shows off all the branches as they drape across the park.
