The video below is for all my blogging friends who never see snow fall, or anyone else who likes to watch the big flakes of white come tumbling down. This was filmed early in the afternoon on New Years' Eve. Later that afternoon the snow turned into freezing rain. What a way to end the year.
Judy and Miss Cindi Lou. thank you for the kind b-day wishes...thus far a great day. Hubby is taking me out for a nice supper tonight and to top that off snow is predicted. The video of snow is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen big flakes fall that quickly in such a mass! Whoa you all know how to have snow out west. Madi and Mom
Loved the video, thanks for sharing your snow with us. I live in SoCal in the desert area. The only snow we see is on the tippy tops of the mountains. In fact, I have not had snow where I actually live in about 30 or 40 years.
This is how I like my snow, on a video or on the mountains in the distance where I live that I can go visit within a forty-five minute drive but then come back home to the Las Vegas valley where it's warm again! Thanks for sharing, snow is awful pretty.
Eeegads Judy-you're making me cold with all those photos--I didn't know WA was in the artic tundra. LOL! But seriously, the photos are lovely and loved the mini-movie of it. Sorry it was followed by freezing rain-hope you didn't lose electric!
Lovely shots and video Judy. Britain is in the grip of a big freeze just now and as today is the first day for over two weeks that I have been able to take the car down our icy road and on to the village, I am really in need of some warm weather.
Hi Judy, much as I love the snowfall, I don't think I can handle the cold. Thanks for taking the time sharing the video, especially to our tropical blogging friends!
That is a great video of the snowfall. I keep forgetting to get video when it's snowing. So I guess I'm a little envious. I've really been enjoying the winter this year, so I welcome any winter photos and videos.
lovely photos! That snowfall is amazing! I love the wintery scenes in the beginning of winter. It started snowing here steadily (not as thickly as in your video) yesterday morning and hasn't stopped yet if you count long periods of random snowflakes wafting through the air.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

That was a heavy snow storm, Judy! Love the pictures!
At least it didn't last long in NYC. I like the second photo for its quilted landscaping. All the best for the New Year, Judy.
Wow! That is some snow fall. We've got a nasty front blowing in right now. No snow predicted as far as I know.

That second picture is beautiful. Right now it's suppose to be warmer for us, but that arctic blast has it pretty chilly here in MS.
Thank you for your sharing.
I have seen a gentle snow fall when I was at Korea a few years back. That was a great experience.
That photo of the mountains is spectacular! All those different slopes - wow!
I enjoyed your little video - boy that really was a heavy snow! Very beautiful - even if I did get my share of it while back home visiting! LOL!

Beautiful! The snow falling in the video was so magical looking I got chills while watching...of course it looks really cold too. :)
I love snow around Christmas/New Years...but am so happy from January to March that I live where we don't even have to own a snow shovel!!
Great pictures!!!

How considerate of you, Judy! Your blog seems a little more beautiful (and popular) with each visit. Thank you!!
such a beautiful rolling landscape! It looks so different from where I live...but just as snow laden:)
Your photos , especially the first one, are very beautiful shots. With your second photo and the video I feel at home.
Have a great weekend!
Our landscape looks about the same right now! and more is on the way! where's spring? :)

My brother in FL only has a bicycle for transportation. I asked him tonight if he has snow tires for it... I don't think there is a warm spot!
Beautiful pictures. We live in snow country, too. I love the quietness of a new snow. It is so clean.
It's supposed to be in the 70's here today in beautiful Coastal Southern California. Probably something you don't want to hear.
