Happy 2010!

glitter-graphics.com

I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you for taking this road with me over the past few months. I look forward to getting to know each of you better as we walk along. Many of you have been beside me since the journey began and I treasure our friendships more than you will ever know.
Have a safe and blessed New Year!

A Thought to Close the Year

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. It comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

Mushroom on Ice - Macro Monday

We don't have snow right now but for almost a week we have had freezing fog. That means little ice crystals on everything in the yard. The top of the mushroom has a little bit of ice and there is more on the back edge and lots on the ground.

Inland Gull - Camera Critters

We expect to see gulls near the coast but they are in other areas as well. I spotted this fellow flying around a mall parking lot just over a week ago. The 'dirty' spots you see in some of the photos are snowflakes. It was snowing heavily when I took these photos.

He finally decided to take a break atop a nearby lamppost. You can see the snow a little better in this photo. After a rest he took off again. Click on any photo to enlarge.

Crossing the Snake - Monochrome Weekend

Taken from a boat on the Snake River in SE Washington state. The bridge belongs to the railroad and on the shore is a grain terminal. If you look to the right of the terminal you will also see a power transmission tower in the distance.

After Snow Day - SkyWatch Friday

We had snow earlier in the week. The skies were gray and dark.

But when the snow was over the skies began to clear.

I am thrilled to have been chosen as this week's SkyWatch Guest Host. I want to thank the whole SkyWatch team for this honor and most importantly for bringing all of us this great weekly theme. Thank you Klaus/Sandy/Wren/Fishing Guy/Louise/Sylvia.

Christmas Critters of Sorts - Camera Critters

Meow, Miss Cindi Lou Who here to bring you this week's Camera Critters. For those who don't know it's my job to pick out the photos for mom to post. I pick the pictures and she will tell you about them.

This week I picked some different kinds of animals cause they are cute and it's getting close to Christmas.

If you noticed yesterday I changed the photo in my header. The Moose and Friend photo is a bread dough tree ornament. It has been glazed and baked so I wouldn't advise trying to take a bite.

Muskox bread dough ornament. I bought these ornaments at a crafts fair when I lived in Anchorage, Alaska .

This little Winnie the Pooh ornament has been with me for a long time. I bought it when I moved to my first apartment in Georgia. It traveled to Alaska with me and has been on many Christmas trees in five states. He may be tattered and worn but he is like an old friend and always gets a special place on the tree.

Meow! Meow! OK mom, enough of the sappy stuff. You said I could show everyone my favorite Christmas stuffie critter. This is my reindeer, I like him cause I can carry him around by his antlers.

I know this one isn't a critter but it's my other favorite toy. I really love this one. Mom says it's almost worn out. Just cause it's starting to come apart doesn't mean I can't play with it.

Visit Camera Critters for more animals from around the world. Meow!
