Think Cool - Be Cool

It's Photo Challenge time!
This challenge is the brain child of Donna at The Brenda Photo Challenge. Each of the challenges has a different host and a different theme.

I am hosting this challenge and the theme I have chosen is
BE COOL!

Ways to beat the heat! Or what you think is cool! You pick as long as it's COOL!

For more information on the challenge visit The Brenda Photo Challenge. If you are posting for the challenge sign in at The Brenda Photo Challenge.

Also be sure to visit Donna's to see what others have posted.

It is currently 101 degrees outside, 38 degrees Celsius, it's hot. While adding photos I thought about this little fella who lives in downtown Walla Walla. He is called The Thinker and he seems to be pondering something very important. On a day like today I wonder what he is concentrating on right now.
Do you suppose he is thinking about the lovely cool water in the fountain?

I think he would really like to hop right into the middle of the fountain.
I am pretty sure he would rather be sitting on this nice cool rock instead of that hot lily pad.
Mr. Frog is not the only one thinking of water on days like today. As you can see this Gerber Daisy also enjoys a nice glass of ice cold water.
Just as the frog and the flower I too love a icy sip of water on a very hot day.

The colder the better.
If the ice water doesn't cool me off I can always remind myself of last winter.

Give Your Thoughts Wings

Sometimes, if you aren't sure about something, you just have to jump off the bridge and grow your wings on the way down.

An Interesting Thought

Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about?
It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world.

It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it?
There would be no scope for imagination then, would there?

Are You Distracted by Shiny Things?

I saw this antique car on the street last weekend and was immediately distracted. Now I have no idea on the model or year but it was shiny!

Farmers' Market Challenge, A Thank You and a Question

The Farmers' Market Challenge was a great success, thanks to all of you who took part it became a worldwide event. To each and every one of you who participated a big Thank You!

From large public markets to backyard gardens we saw an abundance of fruits, vegetable, honey, breads, meat, eggs, and so much more. We learned that we can raise our own herbs and vegetables or support our local farmers by buying their products.

Now, I have a question for you. Would you like to do this one more time this year? Possibly late September or early October?

Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life itself would come to be different.

Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival

Sweety Onion welcomes you to the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival.

Being an onion festival you would expect to find onions, sweet onions.

Maybe even some onions that you can eat.
Besides onions there were things to see and buy, some were for a good cause.

Lots of vendors if got hungry or thirsty.

Maybe a little caramel popcorn.
Sweety Onion says thanks for coming.

Thoughtful Behavior

I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.
