Inland Gull - Camera Critters

We expect to see gulls near the coast but they are in other areas as well. I spotted this fellow flying around a mall parking lot just over a week ago. The 'dirty' spots you see in some of the photos are snowflakes. It was snowing heavily when I took these photos.

He finally decided to take a break atop a nearby lamppost. You can see the snow a little better in this photo. After a rest he took off again. Click on any photo to enlarge.

These are really great seagull pictures. It's surprising where they show up! When I moved from the east coast to Idaho, I was surprised to see seagulls in the supermarket parking lot!
Enjoy your day.

Love the gulls photos, the last shot is my favorite.

Birds in flight are difficult to capture on camera. Good job. The last one shows the wing spread very well.

I can see the heavy snow through your photos, Judy! I love the way you captured his flight.

The inland Gull fly in the snow, and you are sharp enough to spot them.

Very cool pictures! Having not much water in the Southwest of Saskatchewan, they are usually at the Wal-Mart parking lot eating french fries from McDonald's. I am thinking their little hearts are not as healthy as the gulls that live on either coasts!

Great pictures of the gulls and the SNOW, Judy... I wonder how they stay WARM--but I guess they are constantly MOVING.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Beautiful shots of the seagull flying in the snow, Judy. I guess he had to fly just to shake the snow off and keep himself warm.

Hi Miss Cindi Lou and Mom
Who would have thought a gull against the gray sky would be SO VERY GORGEOUS. I would never have expected the colors to pop!!!!
Ah...we know you don't miss the sound of pines trees rockin' and rollin' in the ice!!
Happy Sunday Madi and Mom

Cool shots! It's amazing where we find those gulls, huh? I see them in parking lots, too and wonder why they heck they are there. I always tell my husband, "Listen! They're calling me! Pat! Pat!" It's true! Listen next time you hear them call out! I swear!

Great pictures! It's a wonder gulls aren't extinct with the way they all like to hang out at the fast food joints! But maybe they only eat the fish sandwiches!

I think parking lots are the only places I see any gulls here. They remind me of how I miss living near the river.

We have lots of sea gulls around here too but I have never been lucky enough to capture them with my camera. Nice shots.

This lovely bird was probably searching for food. Your photos are really great!
