I love this! I haven't seen storefronts that look like this in a while. They don't seem to like to do it this way around here. I should go to the other side of town so I can get my own personal look at fun like this.
In answer to Ratty's comment: The malls take over the small town ambiance. You can find this in the smaller communities that still have a "main street" which I love. I took pics at the mall, will post some. They were not as homey as yours Judy. DF
The second one almost looks like a double exposure. When you aren't sure it is a little hard to tell what is the reflection and what is inside, but the last one is the best because outside and inside are almost equal!
Oh my I like the first photo, it looks like the town has been painted red! I love the red Christmas balls, the red mugs...red is the color of Christmas!
Gorgeous pictures. I love the red window...red is my favorite color!!! I'm glad you are having some sun out your way, A good weekend to you all, Madi and Mom
I really like these captures. I live in the Big City of Calgary, you don't seem to find the Store Fronts decorated for Christmas anymore. Most of the Shops now are in the Malls, kind of taken away from the Magic of Christmas.
Oh Judy---I love the reflections in the windows... in some cases, the reflections over-shadow what is actually displayed in the window. What neat pictures...
I really like these shots. Shop windows are always hard for me to do, these are really nice. I love the reflection of the buildings in the second, looks like a neat town. But the third is my favorite, very "Alice in Wonderland" feel. Kathy
Great photos! It makes me really want to go inside one! Love the red! Also the man in the last one; it would be impossible to tell if he was inside or outside except for the fact that he looks like a mannequin.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

These are festive colors for Christmas. The reflections in the windows are amazing!
Lovely decorated windows and tricky reflections.

We seem to "feel" the festival more in the malls than at home.

I am staying away from malls these days....

Wonderful!
Just beautiful! I really enjoyed these! It's like getting two for the price of one, for EACH window!

Perfect Christmas mood in every shop window and in every reflection!
I love these store windows! They are so charming in that old-timey way. Happy weekend!!
I see that yummmy gingerbread hiding in the reflections. I like all these shots a lot.
