I did a post last Friday called Think of the Trees featuring this sycamore tree with one of the branches supported. Betsy from Joyful Reflections said she would like to see what this tree looked like in the Spring time.
Using the magic of digital photography (and a rather large collection of photo files) I will transport us back to this past Spring to see this tree dressed in green.
If you click on this photo and enlarge it you can see the tree with the supported limb in the background to the right.
What a great thing-the same tree in two seasons! Wouldn't it be great to take a nature photo, and snap it in all four seasons! But I would be too impatient to wait a year to post it!
Took me back to my childhood for a moment. As an adult, one sees/acknowledges the seasons, but really each season is like a whole different world under the trees . . . Ginny-you wouldn't have to wait. Just post a current pic each seasons and then, at the end of the year make a separate post featuring all four pictures taken throughout the year. You could even post a recap with it. hmmm. maybe i'll plan something like that. . . m.
Once I was a sapling, but at least I do not need my limb supported - yet. :-) Kidding aside, wonderful pictures. You are to be commended on your organizational skills, in being able to pull those pictures out and get them posted months apart.
That is really beautiful and interesting whit that branch supported. It looks great in both seasons and I like all the photos that you have taken. The bench under the old tree is a great idea and a wonderful place for people to sit and relax.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

Amazing shots from that old tree
I love it in spring style :-)
Fascinating to see the same trees in spring and fall. Both seasons are beautiful. It's so sweet the old branch is still being propped up.
Wow, the tree is magnificent, Judy! Thanks for taking us back to Spring..Wonderful photos!
A wonderful tree.
Time is a good painter, it colours the tree differently at different time.
That is such a cool tree! I love your pictures! You are amazing!
the second tree is MY kind of tree. I love trees that are out of the ordinary and this one fits that perfectly. I love your road to here.
Time and Mother Nature are made complete with your photographs. They are amazing!

Interesting to me how these two different seasons can evoke such different feelings in me. And so beautiful, each in its own way.
Wow...the spring green is awesome!!!

Beautiful! But regardless of the season (I have seen your fall trees) they are still pretty!
