A Walk in the Woods

What a lovely day for a walk in the woods.

The trees are beautiful.

This path will take you deeper into the woods.

Oh, did I mention that you are alone?

And it is starting to get dark.

The crow is warning you to leave ..... now!

Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.

Oh my gosh! I am not aware, there was somebody beside me. I didn't see it or them. Spooky. Reminds me of the Blair Witch Project.

The first photo was bright and cheerful with the sun, but the last ones are spooky. Dark photos of woods and crows go together. Like your previous photo posts these are good choices for a scary Halloween.

Great photos that capture falls beauty.
When I was out walking the other day 3, not 1, but 3 black cats crossed my path at different times. And then a black crow kept following me.
I've been spooked ever since. Like I'm in a Stephen King novel just being written.
:-)

The scary side of Halloween...

Darkness always connotes ghostly feeling. Not with my mother. Walking with her in the woods even night time was such a huge hurdle for me. But she was familiar with places so no eerie experience to bug her. Not one bit!

Love the walk in the woods especially with their colours.

Perfect for this time of year. I also love the pictures and the story, showing a nice walk becoming a spooky story. Great picture of the crow, and just the right quote.

What beautiful and glorious colors of fall, but in the end, the crow sets the mood for fear of the unknown..very spooky..

Hi Judy, I don't know which of your blogs I like the best. They are BOTH great --because you take such fabulous photos.

The walk alone is so neat.. That's a good way to have a meditative time with just yourself!!!! Just don't stay out there after dark!!!

Love your critter post this past week. Those duck pictures are amazing.

Hugs,
Betsy

Oh Judy, I can spend the day walking and feel the crackle of the leaves! The scene is so lovely and I could stay until the sun sets and enjoy its glow!

There is nothing like a walk in the woods in the fall. The crow lends a little suspense to it lol.

A walk in the woods is one of my favorite things. I can see that these woods would be very good. I like the scary turn to the story. It would make me feel comfortable in the woods. I've walked in the woods at night, but the pictures don't come out well.

How relaxing to walk in the woods...listen to the creaking sound of twigs and dry leaves. Allow the soft wind to whisper ghostly tales...booooo! *hugs*

Great pictures. I love seeing all the colorful leaves on the ground. We have a ton of leaves down and I will be so sad when my husband rakes them. They look so pretty with their bright yellow colors.
