Listen . . . .

A house is never still in darkness to those who listen intently;
there is a whispering in distant chambers,
an unearthly hand presses the snib of the window, the latch rises.
Ghosts were created when the first man awoke in the night.

J.M. Barrie

Judy you are scaring me...to think that I will be alone tonight and I am presently reading a book "Her Fearful Symmetry" and that's exactly the house described in the book. Creepy.

Exactly the way I imagine it.

It's strange to me... why we love to be frightened. Oh well, it's fun!

That picture looks like a scene from a scary movie.

Oh My Goodness, Judy... There is a big building in my hometown in Virginia (not far from where my childhood home was) --that looks alot like that house above. It is the Southwest Virginia Museum now--and is so fascinating to go into.

Great photo.

Loved the quote along with the monochrome picture of the house.
If only the walls could talk, oh what a tale they would tell!
