In the Dark of Night - Monochrome Weekly

Then a dog began to howl somewhere in a farmhouse far down the road, a long, agonized wailing, as if from fear. The sound was taken up by another dog, and then another and another, till, borne on the wind which now sighed softly through the Pass, a wild howling began, which seemed to come from all over the country, as far as the imagination could grasp it through the gloom of the night.

Bram Stoker, Dracula

The Bram Stoker quote fits perfectly!!! Makes the tree look creepy! We are monochrome neighbors this week so had to be sure to visit! I always visit my neighbors on memes. So much fun!

Yes, it's the spooky time of year, isn't it? Great quote from Dracula. And monochrome tends to change the mood of any picture, doesn't it?

Oh, I really enjoyed that book! Excellent choice of quote to accompany this shot.

Very spooky. Excellent for Halloween. Isn't it funny how removing the color changes the whole feel of the shot.

The Bram Stoker quote goes along perfectly with this excellent photo. I recognized it immediately from one of my favorite books. I was thinking along the same lines when I saw the photo.
