The date for the next challenge will be Saturday, November 7th.
The Harvest Festival Challenge is similar to the Farmers' Market but with more possibilities. Our farmers' market will be winding down soon, as will most markets in the cooler climates. The market here will end the season with a End of Harvest Festival and so will we.
Since the last weekend of this month is Halloween and so many other activities will be happening I decided to wait until November. This gives everyone a little extra time to prepare and get more photos. Let's see photos of your markets and festivals. Many of you are going into the summer season and will have exciting new things to share.
The purpose of this challenge is to raise awareness for purchasing locally produced foods. Be it fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meat, or any related items we want to know what's available where you live. If possible keep this purpose in mind but if your area does not have any related activities I know you will come up with something fun to share with the rest of us.
How will this work? All you have to do is post photos and/or a story on your blog on or before Saturday, November 7th. When you have it posted to your blog come back to my blog and add your link to Mister Linky. I will give you a reminder just before the challenge. Remember the next challenge is November 7th. Are you in?

I'm IN! Wel, DUH, I love these challenges and they're so easy when you live in New England surrounded my farms and fields and pumpkins.
Thought of you today when I strolled through my farmers market, only four stands, really winding down now. it was sad, but we perked right up when we went to the nearest farm to buy little Lizzie a pumpkin, she grabbed the stems of two and wouldn't let go, so now we have two big pumpkins! more pumpkin soup! yum! -kate
Hi Judy sorry I have not dropped by for while. So I should get some photos of my sisters chicks and eggs and other things. because we don't really have any framer's market here.Well take care and god bless you and yours.
