This is the time of year for purple in the garden. At least it seems so. I have 2 butterfly bushes with purple blooms, one is more lavender, the other a deep rich purple.

I never heard that quote before by Alice Walker - it's a hoot! I like the color purple, even on thistle weeds, which I love to take pictures of. Love your purple flowers.
